You can't afford to not read this. If your state is one of those guilty of not
getting their absentee ballots out to our troops in the battlefield, despite
their pathetic excuses, call your state congressmen, governor and federal
Representatives and Senators and demand that this issue be resolved once and for
all.
The most pathetic excuse I've heard was that mailing the ballots would not
guarantee the receipt of the ballotted votes in time, much less the security of
the ballots. For God's sake, we have the most secure, timely method of getting
these ballots to our troops and back to their state's Election Commission
offices on time. It's called the United States Air Force. I guarantee that
these particular absentee ballots would go "full circle" faster than any other
absentee ballots mailed out by any state.
This Patriot is a good friend of mine and the most honorable American that I've
ever known. So what you will be reading is coming from his heart, is
straightforward, and he is earnestly looking for fellow Patriots to help take
care of the rights of our men and women in the armed services.

STATES’ RIGHTS, ARIZONA’S IMMIGRATION LAW AND THE ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT

How many times do we have to see the actions of our federal government to finally realize that We, the People will be losing our rights, as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States, to the ongoing effort to be part of a One World Government?
Case in point: SB 1070, the Arizona Immigration Law and the recent onslaught by Central and South American countries to be allowed to interject their opinions of this state law to the federal courts. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has recently ruled to allow the opinions and objections of 11 Central and South American countries into their deliberations of Arizona’s appeal of the delay of certain portions of Arizona’s SB 1070. These countries include Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Paraguay and Peru. Apparently, the BHO administration thinks that the U.S. has ratified the Free Trade Area of the Americas treaty, which is still under consideration by all countries in the Northern and Southern American continents.
These actions are in direct violation of the U.S. Constitution. In particular, Article 1, Section 7 (defining the limitations and responsibilities of the legislative branch) states “To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;”. We have been invaded by illegal immigrants for decades and Congress still has not created legislation to stop this invasion. We have been invaded from within by Socialists in our own Government who are intent to trample on our Constitution and drive our Republic towards part of a One World Government.
These actions are in direct violation of Article 3 of the U.S. Constitution. This section provides the responsibilities of our Supreme Court and inferior courts in jurisdiction of all cases arising under our Constitution, the Laws of the United States and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority. As stated previously, the United States of America has no treaties or any ongoing treaties which are even close to being made with these Central and South American countries.
These actions are in direct violation of Article IV, Section 4, which states “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion…”. By the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals decision to allow the opinions and objections into the deliberations of Arizona’s SB 1070, the United States are allowing Arizona’s constitutional rights to be invaded by international countries.
These actions are in direct violation of Amendment XI, which states “The Judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to extend to any suit in law of equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States by Citizens of another State, or by Citizens or Subjects of any Foreign State.” The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals is in direct violation of the XI Amendment by allowing the Foreign States (as listed above) direct involvement in this suit by our Federal government against the state of Arizona.

THE ESTABLISHMENT POLITICIANS AND REAL CHANGE

The professional politicians in Washington and across the states (now to be referred to as the "establishment") are falling by the wayside. Yet they think so highly of themselves that some refuse to lose. Some excellent examples are Charlie Crist (FL) and Lisa Murkowski (Alaska). The "establishment" still has not grasped the meaning of We, the People.
The "establishment" politicians (both parties) in Washington and across the states honestly don't know what to do with the rest of their lives now that the movement collectively referred to as We, the People are speaking up and telling them "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH". "They" didn't believe in We,the People when this movement began almost two years ago. They listened to the pollsters (main stream media) and “political experts”, both of whom still haven’t figured this out yet. So they assumed that their political lives, their liberty to do as they please when “legislating”, and their pursuit of a lifetime as a professional politician (their version of pursuit of happiness) would just continue on.
The “establishment” should wake up real fast. The movement of We, the People is just getting started. More changes are coming within the next four years. So the “establishment” might as well get ready for some REAL CHANGE!!

Here is the speech of Geert Wilders, Chairman, Party for Freedom, the Netherlands, at the Four Seasons, New York, on 9/25/08. Geert introduced an Alliance of Patriots and announced the Facing Jihad Conference in Jerusalem, which was held in 2009. Geert has been and is currently still a member of the Dutch Parliament. He has been warning of the "stealth jihad" methodology of the Islamic faith throughout Europe. His claims here became prophetic, both in the increase in intensity in Europe and slowly growing stature in the USA:

There are now thousands of mosques throughout Europe. With larger congregations than there are in churches. And in every European city there are plans to build super-mosques that will dwarf every church in the region. Clearly, the signal is: we rule.

Many European cities are already one-quarter Muslim: just take Amsterdam, Marseille and Malmo in Sweden. In many cities the majority of the under-18 population is Muslim. Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighborhoods. Mohammed is the most popular name among boys in many cities.

In some elementary schools in Amsterdam the farm can no longer be mentioned, because that would also mean mentioning the pig, and that would be an insult to Muslims.

Many state schools in Belgium and Denmark only serve halal food to all pupils. In once-tolerant Amsterdam gays are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims. Non-Muslim women routinely hear 'whore, whore'. Satellite dishes are not pointed to local TV stations, but to stations in the country of origin.

In France school teachers are advised to avoid authors deemed offensive to Muslims, including Voltaire and Diderot; the same is increasingly true of Darwin . The history of the Holocaust can no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity.

In England sharia courts are now officially part of the British legal system. Many neighborhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves. Last week a man almost died after being beaten up by Muslims in Brussels because he was drinking during the Ramadan.

Jews are fleeing France in record numbers, on the run for the worst wave of anti-Semitism since World War II. French is now commonly spoken on the streets of Tel Aviv and Netanya, Israel. I could go on forever with stories like this. Stories about Islamization.

A total of fifty-four million Muslims now live in Europe. San Diego University recently calculated that a staggering 25 percent of the population in Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now. Prof. Bernard Lewis has predicted a Muslim majority by the end of this century.

Now these are just numbers. And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire to assimilate. But there are few signs of that. The Pew Research Center reported that half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France. One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks. The British Centre for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favor of a worldwide caliphate. Muslims demand what they call 'respect'. And this is how we give them respect. We have Muslim official state holidays.

The Christian-Democratic attorney general is willing to accept sharia in the Netherlands if there is a Muslim majority. We have cabinet members with passports from Morocco and Turkey.

Muslim demands are supported by unlawful behavior, ranging from petty crimes and random violence, for example,against ambulance workers and bus drivers, to small-scale riots. Paris has seen its uprising in the low-income suburbs, the banlieus. They do not come to integrate into our societies; they come to integrate our society into their Dar-al-Islam. Much of this street violence I mentioned is directed exclusively against non-Muslims, forcing many native people to leave their neighborhoods, their cities, their countries. Moreover, Muslims are now a swing vote not to be ignored.

The second thing you need to know is the importance of Mohammed the prophet. His behavior is an example to all Muslims and cannot be criticized. Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace, let us say like Ghandi and Mother Theresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem. But Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer, a pedophile, and had several marriages - at the same time. Islamic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed. Mohammed himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza. If it is good for Islam, it is good. If it is bad for Islam, it is bad.

Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion. Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins. But in its essence Islam is a political ideology. It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person. Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life. Islam means 'submission'. Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is sharia. If you want to compare Islam to anything, compare it to communism or national-socialism, these are all totalitarian ideologies.

Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam 'the most retrograde force in the world', and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran. The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees Israel as the aggressor. I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of times. I support Israel. First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz, second because it is a democracy, and third because Israel is our first line of defense.

This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam's territorial advance. Israel is facing the front lines of jihad, like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines, Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan, Lebanon, and Aceh in Indonesia. Israel is simply in the way. The same way West-Berlin was during the Cold War.

The war against Israel is not a war against Israel. It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel, Islamic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming.

Many in Europe argue in favor of abandoning Israel in order to address the “grievances” of our Muslim minorities. But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values. On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam. They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israel as proof that the West is weak, and doomed. The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning. It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination. If they can get Israel, they can get everything.

So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islamization as a 'right-wing extremists' or 'racists'. In my country, the Netherlands, 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II. And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat. Yet there is a greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing.

The lights may go out in Europe faster than you can imagine. An Islamic Europe means a Europe without freedom and democracy, an economic wasteland, an intellectual nightmare, and a loss of military might for America - as its allies will turn into enemies, enemies with atomic bombs.

With an Islamic Europe, it would be up to America alone to preserve the heritage of Rome, Athens and Jerusalem.

Dear friends, liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter by people who fought for it with their lives. All throughout Europe, American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish.

My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe's children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and Imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so.

We have to take the necessary action now to stop this Islamic stupidity from destroying the free world that we know.

So, for you immigrant (legal and illegal) whiners, if you want to become part of our society, learn how to speak English!

Christianity is the primary religion in the USA. This is substantiated because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is documented within our Declaration of Independence, Constitution (as guided by Natural Law/God's Law) and clarified in such writings as the Federalst Papers and Anti-Federalist Papers, to name a few. There is no Constitutional principle to forbid displaying our Christian beliefs in school, despite the bogus "separation of church and state" arguments.

If you are offended by God, then go back to the part of the world where you came from, because God is part of our culture. We will accept your peaceful beliefs, but not any jihadist proclamations. This We, the People will do as long as you accept our peaceful Christian beliefs, and live in harmony and peace with us.

This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will provide you every opportunity to enjoy all of this. GIBBS AND OBAMA BECOMING MORE CENTRIST: WHEN IT SNOWS IN HAWAII

Regarding Robert Gibbs' comments degrading the "left", let's keep this in perspective. Gibbs will express what his boss, BHO, wants him to express. So, if one asks, is BHO working on going more centrist like Clinton did after the 1996 elections?: NOOO!!! This is expected, orchestrated, and definitely not done in earnest. For example, just look at the recent signing into law of HR 1586
HR 1586 was originally a FAA modernization and safety improvement act which was completely rewritten by King Harry in the first week of August “in a perfecting nature” which resulted in appeasing labor and teacher unions, and then passed by the House in a recall from recess and signed into law within a week. Pure liberalism at it’s best.
Don’t even think that this latest ploy by Gibbs and BHO, accompanied by this so-called “outrage” by the liberal Congress is in earnest. BHO and the Democratic Party are becoming desperate as they see the power slipping out of their hands come this November.

This country survived the devastating economic times of the Socialistic policies of President Carter by implementing the conservative measures of the Reagan years. This prophetic statement has risen again because We, the People remained apathetic towards governmental affairs within our states and our federal government for the following decades. Now, the citizens of the USA are waking up and becoming more involved in our governments’ business (from local up to federal) in an effort to ensure that we are truly being represented by our elected officials.
Yet, we still find ourselves in this same prophetic situation as described by President Reagan. We, the People still have a lot of hard work to perform and it will go far beyond the remaining primaries and general election of this year. It is up to the citizens of our Republic to remain vigilant towards our governments’ affairs. Our republic, the United States of America, stands at a definitive crossroads in its future. We, the People have the power to determine which direction our republic takes. How we determine our republic’s future depends on how well we understand the history of the USA and the world.

Our republic was developed by a group of patriots who had undergone one of the greatest struggles for freedom. They had the choice of creating a country modeled after empires of the past which depended on the decisions of the elite or establishing a republican form of government where the citizens of the country had a voice in making decisions for the good of the people. Their choice was the latter and they were guided by the principles defined in Natural Law (God’s Law).

Now we, the people have the decision before us as to whether our country is to continue upon the principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (as ascribed to us in the Declaration of Independence) or to relinquish those principles to the whims and decisions of the elite. Faith in the teachings of God’s Law and our love for the longest living republic in the history of the world have been the major ideals that have driven we, the people to stand up for our God-given rights.

The rights of life (being free to make our own choices), liberty (being free from misled elitists who believe that they know what is best for each individual and our country as a whole) and pursuit of happiness (being free to strive and work for our paths in life autonomously) are granted to We, the People by the ideals of the Constitution of the United States. Now the decisions as to whether or not we continue to survive as a republic, with these rights intact, have been laid before us.

Many great republics in our world’s history found themselves at this crossroad. Examples include the republican governments in Athens and Sparta, the initial founding of the Roman Republic and the First French Republic. In each case, these republics destroyed themselves by demanding more centralized control, over-extending their causes over the known world, and/or relinquishing their republic to a monarchial style of leadership.

For decades, our republic has been relinquishing various principles over to a centrist style of governing. Now is the time for We, the People to decide if our republic will continue down this direction or if we pull back our republic within the original principles of the Constitution. The choice is ours. The future of following generations of Americans rest upon our shoulders.

TEA PARTY CAUCUS IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES??

On July 16, 2010, the House Administration Committee granted a request by Representative Michele Bachmann for the formation of a Tea Party Caucus, just one day after the request was submitted. As a side note, approval of caucus requests normally take days before the Committee even considers such request. I find it interesting that a House Committee dominated by members of the Democratic Party would be so “eager” to grant approval for this caucus. I’ll try to tie this opinion into this editorial in the wrap-up comments. In order to deliberate on establishing a Tea Party caucus, we must remember the original premise behind the We, the People movement (commonly referred to by the media as the Tea Party movement) and some changes that we have endured.
Almost two years ago, the movement by We, the People began which was centered on the frustrations of Patriots across the country on how our government structure, from the local level thru the state and into the federal bureaucracy, was operating the legislative business of our townships, states and our country. This frustration stretches before the Obama (to be referred as BHO) administration to previous administrations. Actions by our elected officials have been committed in contrast to what We, the People expected. The movement recognized that ignorant decisions by our elected officials were being “allowed” by the American citizens because we inherently trusted the promises of our elected officials during their campaigns. Yet We, the People failed in the duty and trust dedicated to us by our Founding Fathers and “sat on our hands” in trust as our country was being led away from the Republic that our Constitutions (federal and state) designed and is slowly and effectively digressing into a Socialist-type “state”. In response, once We, the People decided that we had endured enough, we began a movement that was (and is) designed to reeducate ourselves, our family, friends and fellow citizens on the principles of our Constitution and the philosophies that influenced the decisions of our Founding Fathers in their formation of the Constitution of the United States. We began to study how the Constitution was the Law of the Land and how it influenced the formation of each individual state’s Constitution. With this education under our belt, we accepted the responsibility of spreading this knowledge across our land so that We, the People (as individual American citizens) could look for viable citizens who were Constitutionally-principled, fiscally conservative and morally ethical so that we could convince these like-minded citizens to run for office (again, from local up to the federal levels) as true representatives of We, the People. With our support, We, the People could present these candidates to our fellow citizens and support them in their campaign efforts. This movement was not based on political party ideology; rather it is designed to be party neutral. The goal was (and is) to induct citizens into the political processes who would truly represent the American citizens (not organized lobbyists and overbearing union desires) without party affiliations as a requirement for our support. We were warned from the beginning that this movement would be a hard and arduous endeavor which ran the risk of being influenced by organized political causes/parties in their effort to take over OUR movement as We, the People.
Already we have seen evidence of this warning; from some National Tea party organizations publicly endorsing candidates (ex., Tea Party Express and Tea Party Federation endorsements), some 9/12 organizations openly endorsing only candidates from one particular party, and other National organizations openly endorsing causes and candidates. The purpose of OUR movement was for individual decisions to be made based on justified and vetted decisions about the candidates that we, as individual American citizens, had chosen. Invariably, many national organizations grew out of this movement, some constructive and others not so constructive. As long as the national organizations served as a focal point for helping to start local and state groups, the purpose of OUR movement was being fulfilled. But when some National organizations took it upon themselves to endorse candidates “in the name of it’s members”, they violated the very essence of this movement. The vast majority of local groups have continued to work under the original premise of We, the People and should be highly respected for holding true to their original convictions. Some National organizations, such as Tea Party Patriots, have openly isolated themselves from this idea of endorsements because, as they have openly stated, the decisions of each individual for a choice/support of candidate was left up to the individual. They recognized that the purpose of the National and affiliated state organizations is to provide a pathway towards the “education process” that We, the People must take in order to be able to make sound and justifiable decisions.
Now back to the issue of the Tea Party caucus in the House of Representatives. The various definitions of a caucus are closely related to one goal: REACHING AGREEMENT. Some definitions for caucus, as vetted from various sources, are as follows:
A. Meeting of members of a political party or subgroup to coordinate members’ actions, choose group policy, or nominate candidates for various offices.
B. Closed meeting of a group of persons belonging to the same political party or faction usually to select candidates or to decide on policy.
C. A group of people united to promote an agreed-upon cause
A list of the current caucuses in the House, as found on http://cha.house.gov/member_orgs111th.aspx , shows upon review that the caucuses represent political agendas designed to influence (or act like a lobby) the legislative process. On first glance, this may sound like a good agenda for the Tea Party caucus, which will be chaired by Michele Bachman. But deeper insight indicates that this process of how caucuses are used is part of the ongoing problems that have plagued our legislative branch for decades and decades. Do We, the People need a “caucus” in the House of Representatives to reach agreements on policies? Are We, the People capable or incapable of reaching our own consensus as American citizens on what policies need to be pursued, how they should be written and constructed and then passing on our convictions to our elected representatives? Though I admire Michele Bachmann (currently, my personal presidential ticket in 2012 is DeMintt/Bachmann or Bachmann/DeMintt; it works either way), are her intentions truly honorable in this endeavor to help out the movement of We, the People? I hope so. Or does she truly comprehend the problems that could affect this particular caucus, as similar problems have plagued other current caucuses? Has anyone truly questioned the intentions of the House Administration Committee as to why this committee was apparently over-eager in approving this caucus? To paraphrase a great philosopher, these are the questions that try men’s souls.
The opinions of this caucus and the intentions of some National organizations (Tea Party, 912, etc.) in their current endeavors and the conflicts these endeavors present towards the original premise of the We, the People movement are for each individual citizen to make, preferably after some thorough deliberations. Your decisions may affect the effectiveness of the movement by WE, the PEOPLE in our efforts to RESTORE OUR REPUBLIC.

DESPERATION AND WHO WE, THE PEOPLE ARE

For months, there has been a concerted and desperate effort by Socialist left-wingers in our different levels of government, along with certain organizations like the NAACP, to have someone stand out as the leader of the Tea Party movements, including other “RESTORE OUR REPUBLIC” minded movements. Allow me to address this effort with some education and clarification.
The Tea Party Movement was and is still designed to be a civil disobedience style of protest against our governments' (local, state and federal) bureaucratic policies which are not supported by We, the People, are not Constitutionally-principled and defy being fiscally conservative (to name just a few principles).
The whole essence of this movement, from its beginning, has been to educate ourselves, our family and friends and our local constituency on the principles of our Constitution and the influential philosophies that guided our Founding Fathers during their efforts while writing the Constitution of the United States and the Declaration of Independence. With that education, we were to find and recruit like-minded citizens to encourage and support them in their bids to run for various offices (again, from local up to federal offices). Upon supporting and electing these citizens into office, our work is still not complete. Along with replacing the remaining "professional politicians" who have been part of the Socialist agenda that has been infiltrating our society and our government for many decades, we still have the duty to monitor the activities of those whom are elected into office and ensure that they are "practicing what they preached". If we find those who get indoctrinated into the "bureaucratic fiascos" found in our governments, then we find a better replacement and vote them out of office in the next election. With this ongoing process, which requires hard work and dedication, We the People will reform our government on all levels back to the principles of a true Republic.
Now, as related to the latest baiting by far-left Socialist Democrats, RINOs and organizations like the NAACP, they still don't understand that the Tea Party movement is NOT A PARTY-ORGANIZED effort, but a citizen-initiated movement that has millions of like minded citizens who are willing to get more involved in our governments' actions and demand the changes that will RESTORE THE REPUBLIC for We, the People. This ignorance has fostered their efforts to try and bait "someone" to stand up and act as our leader of the movements. Let me make this perfectly clear: WE THE PEOPLE OF THE TEA PARTY AND OTHER "RESTORE THE REPUBLIC" MINDED GROUPS DO NOT RECOGNIZE AN INDIVIDUAL LEADER. WE THE PEOPLE ARE ALL LEADERS WORKING TOGETHER TO BRING OUR GOVERNMENTS BACK TO CONSTITUTIONAL PRINCIPLES, BEING MORE FISCALLY CONSERVATIVE AND ELIMINATING THE BIG LOBBYISTS OUT OF OUR GOVERNMENTAL PROCESSES!! POLITICS AND ELECTIONS: THE SAME OLD POLITICAL GAME

Already, two groups have come out (in the second week of July) against Karen Handel in her bid to become the next Governor of Georgia. Call it “the good ol’boy game” against women candidates, or the usual backstabbing methods of a woman candidate’s opponents, it is still just the same old political game as played in Georgia every election year. So, first let’s look deep into the two groups who are already attacking Karen Handel, as of July 8, 2010:
A. Defenders of Democracy: Founded around 2004, this “influential” group’s only outrage against Karen Handel (which actually goes back to Cathryn Cox) has been related to the electronic voting equipment used in Georgia. Their claim is that the use of electronic equipment delegitimizes the right that elections be transparent and accountable to the people. But their reasoning is faulty. The ability to oversee the vote tallies at the end of the voting day, including absentee electronic ballots, are just as open to the public as written ballots were beforehand. Having been a vote proctor using the paper method and now having seen how the electronic method is utilized, there is only one way to make the “Defenders of Democracy” satisfied that votes are tallied correctly: That is by having someone look over each citizen’s shoulder as they cast a vote and then immediately ensuring that the electronic counter has tallied the vote correctly by printing out an immediate vote tally after each vote is cast. As usual, those who think they live in a democracy (our form of government is a Republic, so that we can avoid anarchy as is eventually found in a democracy) believe they always have the best answer for the American citizen. Instead, they appear to want absolute control over a citizen’s right to vote in privacy. I propose that any “grievance” that they have against any candidate, including Karen Handel, is for their own purposes and not necessarily for the republican form of government which we have in Georgia.
Now, I am neither for or against electronic voting equipment. I see benefits in using the current system and I see benefits in using the older paper ballots. But, based on what I read on the website for Defenders of Democracy (http://207.210.65.64/drupal/node/18), their emphasis is not necessarily on what is best for Georgia but what is best on maintaining control and power in Georgia.
B. VoterGA: Founded by Garland Favorito, this group and Mr. Favorito have the same basic problems with the electronic voting process and the same basic solutions as the socialist-style manifesto of Defenders of Democracy, as referred to previously. Mr. Favorito’s arguments against Ms. Handel’s performance regarding her efforts to ensure a fair and verifiable electronic voting system are based on statements from such groups as the Free Congress Foundation (http://www.politicalamazon.com/fcf.html#pasztor) a far-right organization (beginning to see a trend here?), misquoting the reports of the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Testing) as related to their role in evaluating the electronic ballot method (http://www.nist.gov/itl/vote/) , along with two other incidents in Lowndes and Douglas County which involved operator error and were reconciled, even though Mr. Favorito would have one believe that conspiracies abound in these cases. Mr. Favorito filed a lawsuit against the Secretary of State’s office regarding the eligibility of the electronic voting process as a method that could be declared unconstitutional, per Mr. Favorito.
The Georgia State Supreme Court determined in September, 2009 that all allegations of potential fraud, claims of violations of the state and federal Constitutions, and violations of the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States were without grounds and were dismissed as unfounded, with arguments of support from the Supreme Court of Georgia (http://www.voterga.org/more/index.cfm?Fuseaction=more_15725 and click on Georgia Supreme Court ruling under the Lawsuit tab). The next step, if Mr. Favorito truly believes in what he is adamantly arguing against, is to file this case with SCOTUS. However, this has not happened since last September. The reason can be found when one investigates who Garland Favorito has donated campaign contributions to since 1998, as regards to candidates for Georgia offices. Further investigations will show that Mr. Favorito has donated funds to the “Good OL’ Boy” network of Georgia politicians. You know; the same group of elected professional politicians who have failed Georgian citizens in helping the state develop mechanisms that would lower our taxes, trim down on our state government’s overbudget spending habits, and reduce our property taxes, just for starters.

Twenty-five years ago, I held my son in my arms.
I promised him my love and my protection.
He was our baby then.
He passed the baby stage a long time ago.

When he was five, we sent him to Pre-K,
Followed by elementary school.
He struggled and he triumphed thru school,
As so many children did and have always done.
But he learned and absorbed knowledge.
He was no longer a child.

We watched him grow from a child into a man.
I coached him on the philosophies of baseball and the choices you make,
Mainly that if you don’t enjoy what you are doing,
Then stop doing it and pursue that which makes you happy.
In what was to be his final year in Little League, I became
So physically sick and unable to continue coaching that I was unable
To help him thru the trials and tribulations of the game.
I believe he gave baseball up, for that period of time, to help
His father thru some very physical and emotional neurological pain.
Yet my son, with his mother, stood by my side and was there till
My body and My God decided I and my family had gone thru enough.
My son endured a lot for the sake of his father.
Though he was still young, He was no longer a child.

I have watched my son grow thru the influential years
As a teenager.
I have seen him struggle with life’s challenges
During that period.
And I tried to be there for him.
Like I did with his older sister,
I told him of the mistakes I had made
As a young man, what they cost me in years of life
And how I wanted him to learn from my mistakes.
He made choices regarding lifestyles and friendships
That were, I feel, tough for him to make.
Apparently, my lessons I shared with him paid off.
My son grew from a non-typical teenager to a Man.

I damaged my family’s relationship many years ago
When I found myself taking my wife’s place in my heart
For granted; a mistake that had been ongoing for years.
Yet I never accepted it as the truth; I was in denial.
This led to events which led to our mutual divorce.
My son endured the pain of my mistakes
Which increased the pain within my heart.
Yet my son was a Man through it all.

It is said that Time heals all wounds.
For my wife and best friend, that has become true.
We have been back together for a long time now by working together
And trusting one another again, with a better relationship
Than before.
I pray to God every night that the pain and wounds
My son endured have truly healed between he and I.

My son was a baby, soon to be a young man.
Now my son is a Man, facing life’s challenges
And meeting those challenges head-on.
Let it be known that I, My Son’s father, will always
Be there to give him my love, my support and my soul

BHO'S FINAL WAR DECLARATION AGAINST THE SOUTH

So, the BHO administrations and the Justice Department made it official today in suing Arizona over SB 1070, on Constitutional justifications. Now there is irony at its extreme: BHO and the Justice Department trying to use the Constitution to their favor (what a farce). One main argument is based on the Supremacy Clause (Article VI, Clause 2) where all federal laws are the supreme Law of the Land, and all state laws are binding to such federal laws. Well, BHO, you just opened your mouth and stuck your foot into it. Chief Justice John Marshall, in 1819, with the Marbury vs. Madison case, interpreted the clause to mean that the states may not interfere with the functioning of the federal government and that federal law prevails over an inconsistent state law. In the case of Arizona and SB 1070, this state law does not interfere with the functioning of the federal government (which includes protecting our borders), but instead assists the federal statute by implementing the same rules as the federal statute with punishment clauses that are less stringent than the federal statute. Hence, Arizona’s SB 1070 is not interfering with the functions of the federal government (which is required by the Constitution to adhere to any federal statute); it is consistent with the federal statute. As for trying to use Marshall’s statement that federal law prevails over an inconsistent state law, there is not justification from BHO’s Justice Department that SB 1070 is an inconsistent state law when it mirrors the federal statute.
Once again, BHO is proving his arrogance towards the true Law of the Land and will pervert it to meet his ultimate agenda: the End of the Republic and the implementation of all of his Socialist programs. On top of this, by following thru on this federal lawsuit against Arizona’s SB 1070, he is outwardly declaring War on the South. With his “restriction of access” to over a thousand acres of federal land in the Sonoran desert and Buenos Aires National Forest (which has allowed the Mexican drug and illegal immigrant cartels to set up “shop” in these areas), with his completely inadequate response to the greatest environmental disaster in the Gulf of Mexico (and the federal administration’s proven collusion with BP in controlling/limiting the type of efforts taken to clean up and stop the oil spill), and now his official lawsuit against a Southwestern state law that mirrors the federal statute, President Obama has openly declared his disdain for the Southern portion of the USA. If you don’t agree, prove me wrong. I’m all ears and open for any other interpretation.

UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION UNPAID FOR

HR 5618, Restoration of Emergency Unemployment Compensation Act of 2010, was passed by the House on 07/01/10. A previous vote was taken on 6/29/10 but did not achieve the required 2/3 majority vote to pass onto the Senate. However, the House vote on July 01 only required a simple majority. Interesting how the same bill, with no amendments can be passed in Congress under a different set of majority rules, than when it was voted on the first time under more stringent majority rules.
The major contention as to why fiscal conservatives from both parties were voting against HR 5618 was due to how this bill was going to be paid for. Under this resolution, the federal government will cover each states' cost by 100%. The question for fiscal conservatives was where were the funds to cover this cost coming from. This bill, which extends unemployment compensation till April, 2011 for those whose compensation ended several months ago, is to be funded by the Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2008 which, according to the latest CBO analysis report, is no longer fully funded. This bill states that it is subject to the "pay as you go" principle, but the questions still remains unanswered: Where are the funds to pay for this bill? Fiscal conservatives from both parties were lobbying for delegating funds from the unspent portion of last year's budget stimulus to pay for the compensation claims to come. However, the liberal "spend as you go" Socialists in Congress would not consider this option and passed this bill which is forecast to cost over $24 Billion by 2011, per the CBO estimate on 6/28/10.
Now this editorial is not intended to not extend a helping hand to the unemployed who are still looking for work since being layed off or released from work a minimum of three months ago. This editorial is directed at the typical approach by the House to spend tax revenues and supplement with newly printed money, as opposed to using over $200 billion in unused stimulus funds to pay for the unemployment compensation extension.
In addition, in both votes, 29 RINOs (who have voted irresponsibly on fiscal legislation, as researched in the past 24 months) voted for this bill. One RINO (Anh Caro, LA-2) recorded a "NO VOTE" on June 29th, then voted for the bill on 07/01/10. For sake of space, the reader can research HR 5618 on govtrack.us/congress to see the vote tally and the names of the RINOs who voted for this legislation on both occassions. MARXISM: DEAD OR ALIVE??

I was recently in a quick discussion with another individual who stated that he understood that the Marxist philosophy had failed and anyone who wanted to belong to this failed philosophy must be delusional. I agree with the belief that anyone who wants to follow the Marxist philosophy must be delusional. But, despite the fall of the eventual Communist empire of the USSR, Marxism did not fail. WE, the People see it every day. Karl Marx established his philosophy on the belief that Socialism will destroy capitalism and lead to a pure state of communism. For the last 100 years, the socialist movement has been slowly creeping in and eroding our society and our different levels of government. We've especially seen an acceleration of socialist views in the past 18 months. But not before we saw it creep into our society (denial of God's Law as the principle to the Constitution, court systems interpreting the "separation of church and state" well outside of it's intentions as designed by our founding fathers, efforts to remove any references to God in our official documents and history books, etc.) and yet We, the People stood by on many occasions and let socialistic changes to our society and our government occur without standing up as one voice and saying "NOT ON MY WATCH!!"
Today, We the People are standing steadfast and being heard across our Republic as we work to pull out socialism from our society, our government and our livelihood. Just as the Socialist movement took decades of slow inception, We the People have years of hard work to RESTORE OUR REPUBLIC, including bringing the free market economy back to it's full potential.
But back to the original conversation, from which I am still waiting for some answers to some very important questions. Karl Marx is dead but his vision of socialism still lives on and is thriving nationwide and worldwide. So I'll ask to all who read this, just as I asked the individual in the original discussion: What are you going to do to stop this vibrant (not failed) philosophy? Or are you going to be in denial? We the People throughout this Republic have had a choice to make. And it better be the right one for our children and future generations. If you have not made your choice by now, you better make it fast!!

DEFENDING OUR COUNTRY: THE PRESIDENT’S DUTY

Article II, Section I of The Constitution of the United States: The Presidential Oath of Affirmation states “I do solemly swear(or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” Any federal law that has justly been approved and entered into the United States Code becomes part of the Law of the Land, the Constitution. Therefore, the protection of our country, in any terms from protecting our borders to protecting our environment, is a direct obligation of the President of the United States. Question: When is the President of the United States of America guilty of violating the Law of the Land? Answer: when he willfully violates the Oath of Affirmation.
The current President, Barack Hussein Obama (heretofore to be referred to as BHO) has willfully violated his oath on many occasions in just the first 17 months of his ongoing term. For the sake of argument, this evaluation will focus on specific events.
BHO, as the leader of his administration, has violated 18 USC 600, which states “Whoever, directly or indirectly, promises any employment, position, compensation, contract, appointment, or other benefit, provided for or made possible in whole or in part by any Act of Congress, or any special consideration in obtaining any such benefit, to any person as consideration, favor, or reward for any political activity or for the support of or opposition to any candidate or any political party in connection with any general or
special election to any political office, or in connection with any primary election or political convention or caucus held to select candidates for any political office, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.” In addition, BHO has violated 18 USC 595, which states (in part) “Whoever, being a person employed in any administrative position by the United States…uses his official authority for the purpose of interfering with, or affecting, the nomination or the election of any candidate for the office of President, Vice President, Presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, Delegate from the District of Columbia, or Resident Commissioner, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.” These violations of federal law occurred on two “recent’ occasions: during the attempt by representatives of the BHO administration, directly (as in the deputy chief of staff Jim Messina) to coerce Andrew Romanoff to back out of his candidacy as Democratic nominee for Senator of Colorado by offering three federal administrative positions and indirectly (as in attempt by former President Clinton by request of Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel) in offering a “high level, non-paying position”, as stated by White House press release, to Rep. Joseph Sestak in lieu of his backing out of his candidacy as Democratic nominee for Senate in Pennsylvania. WHERE IS THE LEGAL OUTRAGE AND JUDICIAL INVESTIGATIONS INTO THESE ADMITTED ACTIVITIES?
BHO openly violated Article II, Section 2 by appointing “czars”/advisors who are openly involved in policy making but were not subjected to consent by the Senate. The childish argument that “this has been an ongoing practice” is not justification for violating the Law of the Land. It is time for this practice to be outlawed by the judicial system and condemned by the Senate. WHERE IS THE LEGAL AND LEGISLATIVE OUTRAGE AND JUDICIAL INVESTIGATIONS INTO THESE ADMITTED ACTIVITIES?

For sake of argument, I will submit the following judicial interpretation of Executive Orders: Executive Orders do not require Congressional approval to take effect but they have the same legal weight as laws passed by Congress. The President's source of authority to issue Executive Orders can be found in the Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution which grants to the President the "executive Power." Section 3 of Article II further directs the President to "take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed." To implement or execute the laws of the land, Presidents give direction and guidance to Executive Branch agencies and departments, often in the form of Executive Orders.
Executive Orders allow the President to make major decisions, even law, without the consent of Congress, which is in contrast to the logic of the Constitution’s “checks and balances” philosophy. On many occasions, Congress have passed laws without any direct method of how to implement them. Basically, these leaves any federal agencies affected by such law with the decision as to how to implement the law. The President is overall in charge of all federal agencies during his or her term(s). This scenario allows for wide open interpretation, which Presidents have followed thru by providing specific details via Executive Orders. This is the case for Jones Act of 1920. One problem in implementing this law, which requires intercoastal shipping of goods in U.S. maritime vessels, deals with the cost incurred by U.S. maritime in moving overseas cargo incoming to the U.S. from foreign to U.S. vessels.
When Denmark offered the use of their numerous scrubbers in the Gulf of Mexico immediately after the Deepwater Horizon oil rig disaster, BHO refused to initiate an executive order to temporarily exclude the requirements the Jones Act, which ultimately resulted in the widespread oil slick, along with the crude oil’s inwater separation that has created plumes underwater. This is a flagrant action by BHO to neglect his duty to protect our shores and territorial waters. A future post will also show how BHO has violated the Jones Act by allowing foreign-flagged ships to engage in commerce in American sea lanes. WHERE IS THE REAL OUTRAGE FROM THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES AND FROM THE LEGISLATIVE BODY??

One of the major duties of the President of the United States of America encompasses protecting our country (and therefore our borders) from enemies, foreign and domestic. However, BHO has openly shown his neglect to protect our southern border from illegal immigration. The only actions that BHO has taken are providing personnel to help in an administrative fashion, while the illegal immigration rate continues to increase and brings over violent criminals. What is needed to protect our border is more manpower on the ground controlling the border, along with completion of the border guard fence. However, the BHO administration continues the same actions that were evident in our last administration by refusing to provide the necessary means to stop and turn back any attempts at illegal immigration across our southern border. This has resulted in the passing of Arizona’s immigration law 1070, which will go into effect in July. As a response, the Justice Department announced on June 21, 2010 that a federal lawsuit will be filed against Arizona’s immigration law based on the supremacy clause of the Constitution. What the BHO administration has failed to recognize (or acknowledge) is that Arizona’s state law mirrors federal law Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code. In addition, the treatment and disposition of any illegal immigrants found in Arizona’s immigration law 1070 is to turn the illegal alien over to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement or the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency. In contrast, the federal law (Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code) declares an illegal immigrant has committed a federal crime and is punishable by criminal fines and imprisonment up to six months. Repeat offenders are treated under the federal law can incur up to two years in prison. As Governor Brewer (Az) said in response to the impending federal lawsuit, “Bring it.” By not providing protection on our borders from enemies foreign and domestic, BHO has once again violated his Oath of Affirmation. WHERE IS THE LEGISLATIVE OUTRAGE AND JUDICIAL INVESTIGATIONS INTO THIS CONSTITUTIONAL VIOLATION??
Now the latest regarding border protection and comprehensive immigration reform: Today, June 21, 2010, a video tape of a meeting between Arizona’s Senator Jon Kyl and citizens revealed that recently Senator Kyl was involved in a one-on-one conversation with BHO in the Oval Office. Kyl has reported that BHO stated that he would not support increased border protection because it would take away any leverage from Republicans on Capitol Hill in supporting his comprehensive immigration reform practice. Almost, immediately, a White House press corp designee denied that this was ever said, from which Senator Kyl has reconfirmed what he had previously said. The questions for We, the People are : Who do we believe? Does the remark by BHO reflect his obvious stance as regarding enhancing the protection of our Southern Border? I know what my answers are; what are yours? LET THE OUTRAGE BEGIN!!!

POLITICIANS: STAY OUT OF AMERICA'S GAME!!

America's game has always been filled with controversial calls, amazing plays in the field, awesome pitching, etc., etc., etc. The players, managers and owners who still believe in playing the GAME of baseball, not some event where you get rewarded no matter your status/record(which sounds like Saul Alinsky-type principles, doesn't it); those individuals still want the game to stay as is, no "instant replays", just play the game, kick some dirt on the umpire's feet, get in their face when you think they have made a bad call, and then continue to "play the game".
Baseball does not need politicians to stick their nose in probably the only purest American ideal (baseball) and the real players don't want them getting involved either. The pitcher (Andres Galaragga) who lost out on the perfect game due to the bad call was very professional and courteous on the field, to the point of separating his manager from umpire James Joyce after the manager (Leyland) had his "in the face" moment with the ump (part of baseball lore). The umpire (J. Joyce), considered one of the best in the business and admired by all teams, said he felt his heart fall when he looked up on the scoreboard and saw the replay (he's human and humans make mistakes).
All of this is part of the game. This is nothing new and calls similar to this will be made again in the future. The pitcher (Andres Galaragga)accepted the call and was extremely professional and understanding (to the point of forgiving James Joyce when he realized how bad Joyce felt) because he was raised in the true essence of baseball (my opinion as regarding how he learned the game of baseball). Baseball lore was reflected once again in the Tigers-Indians series when Andres Galaragga came out of the dugout in a following game to hand the lineup card to home plate umpire James Joyce. Like a true gentleman and a real baseball player, Galaragga not only presented the lineup card and handshake from Joyce, but gave him a hug as well, delighting the fans and entering another piece of history into baseball lore.
In the meantime, true baseball fans and players need to call, email and fax the offices of Senator Debbie Stabenow, Congressman John Dingell and Governor Jennifer Granholm to stay out of America's game and tend to their real job; the job of representing We, the People, of which they have done a poor job so far. Ask the residents of Michigan, state of one of the highest unemployment rates, sufferer of mass defections of major industries to other states and countries, etc., etc., etc. You get the point; you know the history of what Michigan has suffered as a state. Call, email, and fax these three to stay out of OUR game and do their real game of representing the needs of Michigan.

OIL DISPERSION OR OIL ELIMINATION??

Bioremediation, using engineered microbes for eliminating oil spills, is completely effective and environmentally safe. This was developed in the mid 1980s, tested under the supervision of the Texas Land and Water Commissioners' offices in a controlled environment and was completely safe and effective. This method uses microbes that were developed to use oil as it's food supply. Once the oil has been ingested, oil is broken down within the microbes and the waste product is CO2 and O2. The controlled tests showed that the microbes degenerate to the same waste products once it's food supply (oil) has been exhausted. This method was used on a large scale during the Galveston, TX oil tanker spill in the late 1990(over 5 million gallons of crude oil was released when the tanker was struck by a barge) and was 100% effective. This product, a powder form containing the microbes, has been used in the industrial field since and the supply of this product is readily available. In my career in the nuclear energy industry, in which I was trained and supervised in Hazardous Material Storage and Hazardous Waste (including oil) Response along with other quals, I can justify that this works. Emails and phone calls have been submitted to the Governors of Louisiana and Mississippi, along with correspondence with the states' Hazardous Waste Response Centers (these centers are required for all states by federal law). I find it completely unusual that nothing has been in newsprint or seen during research where the states (and their Hazardous Waste Response Centers) are considering this method. Do we continue to use booms and buoys, which have been proven to be less than 10% effective in collecting the oil ON THE WATER SURFACE and ineffective for the heavier oily material that is going UNDERWATER? Or do we use a proven method that is readily available today ro ELIMINATE THE OIL ON THE WATER SURFACE AND UNDERWATER? You decide and then demand what you choose to be used on the Gulf Coast shoreline and in the Gulf Coast.

A PERSONAL MEMORIAL DAY EVENT
(and something that I never expected)

Yesterday evening (May 29, 2010), I left shift work with my backpack containing 100 U.S.A. flags to be used for a duty that I had sworn myself to perform. When I had ordered the flags earlier, I knew that I would not be at home this weekend but I could fulfill my oath in the area that I work at during this weekend. My personal duty that I had sworn myself to was to visit the local cemetery and place new flags at the gravesites of veterans of the past. For a relatively small cemetery, I found more graves of heroes than one might expect. From World War I to the current war against terrorism (don’t call them “enemy combatants” or I’ll be knocking on your door), the numbers were significant.
At each gravesite, I announced the rank, name and branch of service, thanked them, as a fellow veteran, for the sacrifice of time from their family (and in some cases the sacrifice of life) which they had made to serve our country. I planted a flag by his or her’s tombstone, came to attention and saluted. There was a feeling of pride that slowly grew as I continued on from one grave to the next.
Near the end (I had about 30 flags left), as I was honoring another veteran, I realized that an older woman was standing by. I had noticed her a few minutes earlier as she was arranging flowers and placing a flag at a gravesite (an area I had yet reached). When I finished at this particular grave, I introduced myself as did she. She then asked if she could buy a flag from me, from which I responded “Ma’am, it is an honor to give you one”. She told me that she was doing the same at the grave of her husband, who had passed away two years ago. He was a retired colonel of the United States Army who was involved in the Korean War (don’t call it a “conflict” or I’ll be at your door again) and the Vietnam War. Buried nearby was her friend who was a nurse at a MASH unit during the Vietnam War. She had passed away just three months ago. I accompanied her to her friend’s grave, and as she planted the flag, I honored her friend’s service. With moist eyes, she took me to her husband’s grave. As I stood at attention and began honoring his service, she held my left hand. When I finished, I looked at a grateful woman with warmth in her face and tears in her eyes. Yes, real men do cry and we are proud to admit it.
After a couple of minutes of composure, I knew that she was ready to go. I escorted her to her suburban and told her that I saluted her sacrifice that she had made in honoring her husband’s wishes to serve his country and that I knew that she had lived a fulfilling life with her husband and family. After a grateful “Thank You”, she told me that tomorrow at 11:00, Memorial Day, she was one of the honorees at the traditional laying of the Memorial Wreath in Veterans’ Park here. I look forward to seeing her tomorrow.
Truly, this was a humbling experience of which I will always reflect on for time eternal. After she left, I continued with my honoring of deceased veterans until I had ran out of flags. On the next occasion, I’ll remember to order much more. I had a personal experience with the remaining veterans whom I had no flags for, but maybe I’ll tell that story another time. I say this because I had an enduring moment of reflection which I feel is important for you to hear.
At this cemetery, there were men and women who had fought (and for some, died) in wars that encompassed the 20th century up to today. They had sacrificed time away from their lives and their families to defend our freedom and liberties that were endowed to us over 220 years ago. I could only ask myself what these brave heroes, as they now sit at the right hand of God, were pondering as they looked upon our nation today. Do they wonder why we, as citizens of this great country, have allowed the slow but methodical erosion of our rights? Do they know, as I believe they do, what our country’s future holds for We, the People? I know that they are proud of our current men and women in uniform who are serving and fighting for our country, particularly as they are all now volunteers, Yet, they must be asking how their sacrifices may have been in vain as our rights are slowly being attacked, our leadership in government usurping their powers and violating the limitations endowed upon them by the Constitution, our Constituion slowly being shredded with the passage of another immoral and unconstitutional bill. This is the Constitution which our servicemen and servicewomen vowed to uphold and defend against enemies, foreign and domestic.
Hopefully, our Heavenly Father and our heroes of the past have given their blessings to We, the People, the ones who have opened our eyes to the disgressions which have been occurring for so many years to our Republic, in our endeavors to educate our fellow countrymen and are working towards the ideal to RESTORE OUR REPUBLIC. We, the People owe it to our fallen heroes, our living veterans and our current men and women in uniform to do our part to protect our country, and therefore our Constitution, from enemies, foreign and domestic.
Finally, one might ask why I titled this blog as “A PERSONAL MEMORIAL DAY EVENT” when the actions described occurred two days before Memorial Day. Because tomorrow morning, Memorial Day 2010, I will have the opportunity to meet a real American hero once again; the elderly wife of a career Army officer and a friend of a brave Army nurse.

ODE TO OUR HEROES

With medals and badges, awards of all kinds,
a sober thought came through my mind.
For this house was different, it was dark and dreary,
I found the house of a soldier, once I could see clearly.

The soldier lay sleeping, silent, alone,
curled upon the floor in this one bedroom home.
The face was so gentle, the room in such disorder,
Not how I pictured a United States soldier.

Was this the hero of whom I just read?
Curled up on a poncho, the floor for a bed?
I realized the families I saw on this night,
owed their lives to these soldiers, who were willing to fight.

Soon round the world the children would play,
And grownups would celebrate a bright Christmas day.
They all enjoyed freedom each month of the year,
Because of the soldiers, like the one lying here.

I couldn't help wonder how many lay alone,
on a cold Christmas Eve, in a land far from home.
The very thought brought a tear to my eye,
I dropped to my knees and started to cry.
The soldier awakened and I heard a rough voice,
"Santa, don't cry, this life is my choice;
I fight for freedom, I don't ask for more,
My life is my God, my country, my Corps."

The soldier rolled over and drifted to sleep,
I couldn't control it, I started to weep.
I kept watch for hours, so silent and still
And we both shivered from the cold night's chill.

I didn't want to leave on that cold, dark night
This Guardian of Honor so willing to fight.
The soldier rolled over, with a voice soft and pure,
whispered, "Carry on, Santa, It's Christmas Day, All is secure."

One look at my watch and I knew he was right

FINAL REVIEW OF NEVADA REPUBLICAN SENATE CANDIDATES

Sue Lowden: FACT - Currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors and Secretary-Treasurer of Archon Corporation, a gaming and investment company (potentially will owe favors to the casino gaming industry if elected, just like Harry Reid does now). FACT - A "professional politician" since 1992, when she served as State Senator until 1996, upon which she was selected as Chairwoman of the Nevada Republican Party. FACT - Sue is on record as donating to the past Reid campaigns , even during her term as state Republican Party Chairwoman. During her term as State Senator, Sue Lowden has been quoted on several occasions by the Las Vegas and Reno newspapers of her support of Harry Reid's efforts to stop construction and use of Yucca Mountain. This displayed Lowden's ignorance, like Harry's, of the safety issues designed into Yucca Mountain, much less the boon to regional employment and businesses. As an engineer in the Radiological Control field, I've worked with commercial nuclear reactors for 18.5 years and now with DOE sites going thru decommissioning and remediation. So I have a firm understanding of the assets of Yucca Mountain, both in waste storage and potential reactor fuel reconstitution which could be sold. Does this sound like a Senator who would look out for the constituents of the state of Nevada in providing jobs? FACT -During a state Republican Party Convention, Chairwoman Lowden halted the convention in the middle of the delegate selection process, and then reconvened later which limited the number of proposed delegates to be submitted, which was a violation of state party convention rules. Can we say narcissitic?

SHARON ANGLE: FACT - Recently endorsed by the Nevada Concerned Citizens, whose Chairman Richard Ziser stated to the Review-Journal that his work to abolish gay marriage rights in Nevada (which I applaud him for) was also designed to ensure that gays would not come to Las Vegas, which would mean less revenue to be collected in LV. Should have kept your mouth shut that time, Richard; Las Vegas' casinos certainly appreciated that statement. So, where does Sharon stand on this in terms of how far she would take the gay marriage issue? She stands by her support of the Federal Marriage Amendment, which is a "pat" answer from anyone who claims to be conservative. FACT -In a town hall meeting last September, Sharon stated that custodial work was for immigrants because Americans will not do it. Can we say "elitist"? It has been logistically proven that over 8 million jobs have been taken over by immigrants (of which it is projected 90% are illegal) from American citizens who already had the jobs. So what is her true position regarding illegal immigration?: She says that, as a member of the state assembly, she authored legislation to safeguard our election process by requiring identification for voting in Nevada. However, she obviously didn't have the political strength to even get it considered for recommendation for committee review. FACT -Sharon Angle is a "professional politician", recently serving in the Nevada Assembly from 1999 to 2005 and then running for U.S. Representative of Nevada's 2nd district in 2006. At what point do We, the People realize that the "professional politicians" are the very culprits who have driven our country to the brink of Socialism, locally, within the state and in our federal government? FACT -In 2003, Angle sponsored legislation guided under the philosophy of Scientology for women's state prisons. The state's response (and rightfully so) was " "At a time when our kids might be going without books and teachers it would be impossible to justify spending money on an unproven massage, sauna and vitamin plan for prisoners. These gimmicky programs undermine successful rehabilitative programs". In 2003, the Nevada state budget was already operating in a deficit and Sharon wanted to spend taxpayers' money on "touchy-feely" programs for prisoners. I'll leave that judgment up to you.

DANNY TARKANIAN: FACT -Danny ran for the Clark County state Senate seat in 2004, only to lose by only 1900 votes in a Democratic swing district. In 2006, Danny ran for the Nevada Secretary of State ( a typical Democratic seat) and only lost by 40,000 votes out of over 560,000 votes cast (7%). As a private businessman and proven to fight against the odds, Danny is running a tight race with Sue Lowden and Sharon Angle for the Republican nominee as U.S. Senate. As compared to his opponents, Danny has stuck to his principles and values and not changed his stance on certain issues (not unlike his competition). Despite the fact that he is NOT a "professional politician", he is in the thick of this race and has led on many polls, including consistently polling as being able to beat Harry Reid in the general election. Danny has ran on his agenda as a Constitutionally-principled, morally ethical citizen and has won the support of many Tea Party-related groups within the state and like-minded citizens of Nevada. FACT -Danny has consistently ran against the Reid agenda, including the amnesty proposal and the Yucca Mountain issue (having realized as a businessman that Yucca Mountain is a boon for employment and benefits for the state). This is in contrast to his Republican opponents, where Sue Lowden proposes using Yucca mountain to develop methods for reducing the waste, while Danny has strongly stated how Yucca Mountain can be used for reducing waste and supporting available technology that is already tested and able to perform this intiative sucessfully; much less Sharon Angle who voted for a resolution in 2005 rejecting Yucca mountain as a dead-end nuclear dump; only to recently revamp her issues to support the use of Yucca Mountain. Sounds a little convenient for Sharon, if not also a bit "wishy-washy". Again, this points out the fact that Danny's stand on issues of importance to the citizens of Nevada and the United States have consistently been firm, fiscally and socially conservative, and has always recognized the need for a Constitutionally-principled, morally ethical legislator in Washington to help We, the People RESTORE OUR REPUBLIC.

WASHINGTON ELITE: ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION? THE SAME QUESTION FOR WE, THE PEOPLE

The current sentiment is that the anti-Washington, anti-establishment national sentiment played a major hand in this Tuesday’s primaries. From “professional politicians” to candidates endorsed by party elites, a strong message was sent out that reaffirmed the sentiment reflected in the Massachusetts Special Election earlier this year and the governors’ races in New Jersy and Virgininia last November. This is the same message from We, the People in our efforts to elect Constitutionally principled, morally ethical citizens back into our government (from local to state to federal). However, there are no silver linings for We, the People as a result of Tuesday’s primaries; only more hard work in order to achieve true victory in November.
Blanche Lincoln (D) finds herself in a runoff in her attempt for a third consecutive term as Senator from Arkansas. Her opposition, Lt. Governor Bill Halter, was within just a few thousand votes of Sen. Lincoln ( out of over 300,000 votes in the primary). Perhaps Sen. Lincoln played one too many “political games” during the past year, when it came to the 2009 budget stimulus package and the health care reform statute where she had pledge to filibuster any health care legislation that contained a public health insurance option. Blanche, did you ever finish reading the final bill? We, the People found the option live and well, just hidden to another provision within the bill. As a member of the Washington elite on Capitol Hill since 1993, you would think she would know how the game is played by now. Well, she DOES!! She may pay for it in the June runoff against a politician who will at least admit he is a far-left Progressive.
In Kentucky, Rand Paul defeated Trey Grayson as the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate. Rand Paul, a favorite of the Tea Party groups in Kentucky, is an ophthalmologist who’s only claim into the world of politics (besides being Ron Paul’s son) was in establishing the Kentucky Taxpayers United, a non-partisan citizens watchdog group dedicated to rating the state legislature’s tax honesty. But the true “kiss of death” for Trey Grayson was the endorsement by the Republican Party establishment, as represented by Mitch McConnell. When will the Republican Party get the message: We, the People are looking for Constitutionally-principled CITIZENS to represent us in Washington, not “professional politicians” (which is the label McConnell subliminally stuck on Grayson with his endorsement). Mitch, you should have left Trey alone.
In Pennsylvania, a multi-term Senator since 1981 was defeated in the Democratic primary by a liberal Representative for the Senator’s seat. That Senator was Arlen Specter, Mr. “scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours”. His wheelings and dealings behind closed doors finally caught up with Arlen. But his replacement for the November election, Joe Sestak, is a straight-up hard core liberal who contrasts very well with the conservative Republican nominee, Pat Toomey. Like him or not, We, the People in Pennsylvania have a lot of hard work ahead to ensure Toomey’s victory in November.
Now, for some harsh reality for We, the People to take into deep consideration: First, in Pennsylvania, both Mark Critz (D) and Tom Burns (R) won their primaries for the 12th District’s Representative seat and will face off in November. However, in the special general election to fill in the current seat of deceased Representative John Murtha, Critz defeated Tom Burns by over 10,000 votes (8% of the total votes cast). If We, the People in Pennsylvania don’t stay on top of the campaign between now and November in support of Burns, that seat could still remain in the hands of the far left Progressive/Socialists known as the Democratic Party. But, an important detail occurred during Tuesday’s primaries. In Tuesday’s primaries, where both parties had contested primaries for the same seat, the Democratic Party amassed more total votes in their primaries than in the related Republican primary. I’ll repeat that: IN EVERY CONTESTED PRIMARY (WHERE BOTH PARTIES HAD CONTESTED PRIMARY ELECTIONS FOR THE SAME RELATED SEAT)!!! Either We, the People did not like what we saw in the respective candidates or the push to get out and vote for a Constitutionally principled, morally ethical candidate was not as strong as is desired. Keep this in mind for the following primaries and November’s general election.

OUR “CONSERVATIVE” CHOICES FOR GEORGIA GOVERNOR

This is an overview of the candidates for office of Governor of Georgia who are running as Republican candidates. My question is: What do we want in our Governor in order for that person to be more effective? In my opinion, we want a conservative-minded Governor (economically and morally) who has a record of being ethically moral, dependable in terms of standing by their principles, willing to work outside of the RINO logic of our state and federal government, and Constitutionally principled to the point of standing up for our state’s rights (and the rights of her citizens) as guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment and Articles 1 and 2 of the Constitution of the United States.
After studying trends and straw polls (after debates), I concluded that two of the following candidates will be involved in a runoff after the upcoming state’s Republican party primary:
1. Karen Handel
2. John Oxendine
3. Nathan Deal
4. Ray McBerry
5. Eric Johnson
After further study, I eliminated Eric Johnson because he looks like the only candidate who would definitely lose the state election to Roy Barnes (Yes, former Governor Roy will win in the Democratic primary) in November. Ray McBerry and Nathan Deal also appear to be unable to withstand the Democratic “good ol’ boy “ politics of “dirty pool” (with the Dems relentlessly advertising on scandals against these two), but I have included these two because of their issue positions.
When it comes to states’ rights (remember the Tenth Amendment?!) and how it can be applied to protect Georgia’s citizens from federal legislation that is outside of the limitations as described in Articles 1 and 2 of the U.S. Constitution, Ray McBerry has been the strongest advocate since his last election attempt in 2006 (and before). McBerry went so far as to draw up 8 states’ rights legislative bills (related to health care reform, Second Amendment, etc.) that were introduced on to the House floor at the beginning of this year’s winter session in January. These pieces of legislation spurred additional bills by other state legislators along the same premises (some people just cannot be outdone politically). As a result due to reactions in town hall debates with Oxendine and McBerry present, candidate Oxendine followed suit by proclaiming that he was an advocate of states’ rights. He has just never followed thru and included states’ rights on his list of issues on his campaign website. Overall, McBerry appears to be an individual who believes in his agenda and in the future of Georgia.
However, McBerry has two scandals which, if he is able to make it thru the primary process to become the Republican candidate, could become fodder for the “dirty pool” of Georgian Democratic politics. McBerry carries one scandal of illicit behavior with a minor back in the 80’s which he was declared innocent of. However, this matter keeps bringing up it’s ugly head at the most convenient time; during the Republican run for Governor in 2006 and again during the current race. In addition, McBerry has been connected to the League of the South (LOS), a Southern organization infamous for it’s declaration of secession of Southern states from the Union before McBerry’s involvement in the late 90’s. Instead of directly addressing his involvement with LOS, McBerry has been brazen enough to salute the state flag but NOT the current U.S. flag. His reasoning: he refuses to salute the current flag because it represents the current federal government which has been operating outside the limitations of the U.S. Constitution (a point of which I agree with). McBerry needs to stop providing the fodder for his opposition and recognize that the current U.S. flag, like all previous versions of the flag, represents the United States of America and it’s citizens, NOT JUST an administration in Washington which he rightfully objects to. But this is just my opinion.
Nathan Deal resigned from the House of Representatives in April of 2010 to devote full time to his candidacy. Unfortunately, Deal resigned just shortly before the House Ethics Committee was to decide whether to pursue ethics abuse charges. ANOTHER CANDIDATE, ANOTHER SCANDAL?? SAY IT AIN’T SO!! I’m afraid it is. In December, 2009, House Ethics investigators began looking into whether Deal steered contracts to a salvage company he owns, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Per AJC, Deal, on three occasions in the past year and a half, questioned proposed changes that state Revenue Commissioner Bart Graham wanted to make in the way Georgia inspects rebuilt salvaged vehicles. Deal coordinated his efforts through the office of a political ally, Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle. Deal’s salvage company faced some possibilities to lose over $300,000 in contract deals with Commissioner Graham’s proposed changes.
A review of Nathan Deal’s issues and his proposals read like a typical roadmap (in my opinion) of a politician’s responses and ideas. In order to rely on someone to follow thru on their proposals, it is advantageous to look at one’s past political experiences to show how dedicated to their beliefs they may be. A thorough study of Deal’s voting record since he was a member of the House reveals some interesting facts, as analyzed by govtrack.us. Just on Deal’s presence during votes on the floor, Deal has an intolerable record. From August, 2009 to the end of March, 2010, Deal missed up to 60% of the votes on the floor. From February to the end of March, 2010, Deal was recorded as not voting 58% of the time. His “Aye” or “Yes” votes totaled 11 out of 93 votes during the same period. All of these bills were passed unanimously or within 95% of unanimity. And We, the People of Georgia paid for this voting attendance record. Looks like another “professional politician” at work striving to climb the ladder, principles be damned; but that’s just my opinion.
John Oxendine has commented on more than one occasion that he is a morally ethical Christian. I will not dispute anyone’s statements regarding their faith, because as a Christian, I have no right (or desire) to do so and I personally know that John is a Christian. As to being morally ethical, John shows up on both sides of the coin. But more on that later; let’s talk about a couple of his political issues for this race. John appears to be genuinely concerned about transportation problems through Georgia; in particular, navigating thru the Atlanta corridor. John has proposed a western bypass, a northern expressway and an interstate from Columbus to Augusta in order to alleviate traffic problems thru Atlanta and provide relief for interstate travelers, including visitors and business/freight trucks, as they travel thru the state to their destinations. This is a major issue on John’s list. One small problem with this is that these very ideas have been proposed in the past 20 years and have been turned down by state citizens and municipalities whose property would be adversely affected by the proposals. John recognizes this but doesn’t provide any answers as to how to satisfy the needs of those affected by these proposals.
John’s Contract With Georgia lists some strong conservative initiatives which so many of us would find easy to agree with, myself included. Instead of dissecting each initiative and taking for granted that John would follow thru on these “contract proposals”, I’ll simply say that I concur with all of these proposals but I’m going to dissect two proposals for the obvious following reasons. First, proposal # 3 on a “comprehensive statewide transportation system” has already been addressed above so I’ll let it go at that. Proposal # 4 (“Actively assert that the tenth amendment of the U.S. Constitution belongs to the American people and not Washington politicians.”) is a direct result of earlier debates this year where he shared the stage with Ray McBerry, had not comments (either of no substance or no comment at all) on states’ rights when questioned by the audience and was overwhelmed (in my opinion as an attendee on several occasions) by McBerry’s approaches to preserving states’ rights via the Tenth Amendment and the limitations of delegated powers to our federal government by Articles 1 and 2 of the Constitution of the United States. Hence, his reason to be sure to have this point outlined in his “Contract”.
Several scandals and questions of objectivity have followed John Oxendine throughout his tenures as Insurance Commissioner. Previously, state election commission investigations revealed that Oxendine, who wields regulatory power over all insurance companies in Georgia, received $120,000 during a reelection campaign through 10 Alabama-based political action committees set up by Donald V. Watkins, a director of Admiral Life Insurance Co. of America and State Mutual Insurance. Both companies are headed by prominent businessman Delos “Dee” Yancey III and are run out of the same building in Rome. The problem (and John has no excuse to have not known about it since he was up for another reelection) is that individual PAC contributions are limited to 12,000 per person. However, since all of these PAC contributions were funneled into one account controlled by a single businessman, the $120,000 contribution was illegally obtained. Per the Atlanta Journal Constitution , the Ox campaign initially denied any wrongdoing, but announced within a few weeks, that they were returning the money. (Oops, caught red-handed and tries to “buy” his way out).
Another “awkward” incident for John occurred in August, 2009. His father, Judge Oxendine, hired Wayne Reece, a political consultant and fellow board member (with the Judge) of the Warm Springs Rehabilitation Development Fund to work on John’s campaign, at the tune of almost $400,000 that was later discovered to be allocated from the WSRD fund. The WSRD Board determined that both John Oxendine and Wayne Reece tried to conceal the payments. Another “awkward” scenario (in my opinion) lies in the fact that Ivy Oxendine (John’s wife) has been working with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia (BCBS of GA), worked her way up to the corporate office in Atlanta and has served as President of the Middle Georgia Association of Health Underwriters as well as State board member of the Georgia Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Kudos go out to Mrs. Oxendine for a successful career. However, my dilemma is in John’s track record as regarding investigations and fines of insurance companies within Georgia. With a little research, you will note a pattern where John Oxendine has extended fines against insurance companies in excess of any fines (and they are very few; look for yourself) levied against BCBS of GA. A little favoritism?; hard to honestly call without some direct evidence, which is truly tough to dig into without strong inside sources. However, it is my opinion, based on the scandals referenced and the “awkward” situations during John’s tenure as IC, that principles are not his best suit and that is a personal attribute that I demand of my legislators at all levels.
Karen Handel is a “case” all to herself. She is so “squeaky clean” it is almost scary. Karen has done some admirable work as Secretary of State, especially when it came to the voter ID question. One may remember that Georgians voted in favor of voter registration photo ID requirements in 2008. However, the “Obama” Justice Department ruled that Georgia could not implement this law. Karen’s staff argued with the DOJ in Washington and found themselves with no alternative but for the state of Georgia to take this thru the federal court system. The federal appeals court in Atlanta ruled against the DOJ’s objection to this statute ( a similar statute in Illinois had already been recognized as constitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court) and a recent filing by the Georgia Democratic Party has been overturned by the Fulton County Superior Court on these basis just last month. Though Karen wasn’t SOS at the time of the Fulton Co. Superior Court decision, it was her dedication to ensure that the Georgia voter ID registration law, as approved by Georgian citizens, would be upheld. As is typical in the political world, there have been a couple of allegations against Ms. Handel which were never corroborated and were dismissed by the appropriate agencies. As Secretary of State, with results like bringing in billions in fines from investment firms involving illegal sales of auction sales securities, Handel has followed thru with her conservative approach on her solutions to issues vital to our state, such as implementing potential plans to help stymie the flow of illegal immigration into our state since the federal government has failed to secure our borders, developing sound conservative solutions for our state economy, including health care initiatives, and more fiscally-sound solutions to our state budget. These solutions, along with many others, continue to show how much Karen Handel is willing to fight the “good ol’ boy” network to solve our state’s problems from education to health to water and landscape issues to our state budget deficits. I only wish she were more vocal on how the state of Georgia could use the Tenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and our Georgia State Constitution to work against any federal legislation passed that is outside of the limitations as found in the 1st and 2nd Articles of the U.S. Constitution for our federal legislative and executive branches.
I know whom I am supporting for Governor of Georgia and I would guess that you would guess incorrectly, even after reading this review. I believe that my choice will have the fortitude and principles needed to stand up against the upcoming Democratic Party campaigning methods (and they will be nasty) and become our next Governor. And, yes, I am a believer in the principles of the Constitutions of both the state of Georgia and the United States of America. And I am a true conservative. But, in the end, I can only offer you my opinions of the candidates. Your choice is yours to make. Let’s pray that we all help select the best Constitutionally principled, morally ethical candidate in the upcoming primary who will defeat the “Obama Kool-Aid drinker” from the Democratic primary and become our next successful Governor for the Great State of Georgia.

All of these Founding Fathers answered the call and came together with contrasting ideas of the design of our new government. Yet, thru the inspiration of spiritual and political philosophers of their time and of time past, they came to agreement when they developed the Constitution of the United States of America. To the last Patriot of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, they realized that they had created a limited government of, by and for the people that was inspired and guided by Our Holy Father.
The ideals and principles of our country has been protected by heroes and Patriots who have paid the heavy price of their lives, sacrificed their time of family, and have come home broken in order to preserve this Union. Today, we still have those heroes fighting for our ideals and sacrificing for their country. A new Patriot and hero is needed today to assist those who have sacrificed so much. THE TRUTH ALONG THE SOUTHERN BORDER

READ THIS! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU KNOW WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING ON OUR SOUTHERN BORDER!!

As you know, one of the local ranchers was murdered in Douglas two weeks in Sago. His funeral is tomorrow. I received three messages similar to the one below from different officers within the Rangers and law enforcement:

Yesterday afternoon I talked to another rancher near us who is a friend of ours and whose great grandfather started their ranch here in 1880. These are good people. He told me what really happened out at the Krentz ranch and what you won't read in the papers. The Border Patrol is afraid of starting a small war between civilians here and the drug cartels in Mexico.

Bob Krentz was checking his water like he does every evening and came upon an illegal who was lying on the ground telling him he was sick. Bob called the Border Patrol and asked for a medical helicopter evac. As he turned to go back to his ATV he was shot in the side. The round came from down and angled up so they know the shooter was on the ground. Bob's firearm was in the ATV so he had no chance. Wounded, he called the Cochise County Sherriff and asked for help. Bleeding in the lungs he called his brother but the line was bad so he called his wife but again the line was bad.

Several ranchers heard the radio call and drove to his location. Bob was dead by this time. The ranchers tracked the shooter 8 miles back towards Mexico and cornered him in a brushy draw.
This was all at night. The Sherriff and Border Patrol arrived and told them not to go down and engage the murderer. They went around to the back side and, if you can believe it, the assassin managed to get by a BP helicopter and a Sherriff's posse and back to Mexico. So much for professional help when you need it.

One week before the murder Bob and his brother Phil (who I shoot with) hauled a huge quantity of drugs off the ranch that they found in trucks. One week before that, a rancher near Naco did the same thing. Two nights later, gangs broke into his ranch house and beat him and his wife and told them that if they touched any drugs they found they would come back and kill them. The ranchers here deal with cut fences and haul drug deliveries off their ranches all the time. What ranchers think is that the drug cartels beat the one rancher and shot Bob because they wanted to send a message. Bob always gave food and water to illegals and so they think they sent the assassin to pose as an illegal who was hungry and thirsty knowing it would catch Bob off guard.

What is going on down here is NOT being reported. You need to tell people how bad it is along the border. Texas is worse. Near El Paso, it's in a state of war. 5000 people were killed in Ciudad Juarez last year and it's over 2000 so far this year. Gun sales down here are through the roof and I get emails from people wanting firearms training.

Something has to be done but I don't hold out much hope. These gangs have groups in almost every city in the US . Please read below. This is serious business. The Barrio Azteca and their sub gangs are like Mexican Corporations and organized extremely well. If this doesn't get dealt with down here. you guys will deal with it on your streets.

IS FAITH DISAPPEARING BEFORE OUR VERY EYES?

“Fasting and prayer are religious exercises; the enjoining them an act of discipline. Every religious society has a right to determine for itself the time for these exercises, and the objects proper for them, according to their own particular tenets and right can never be safer than in their hands, where the Constitution has deposited it.” Thomas Jefferson, 1808 [def.of tenet: a principle, belief, or doctrine generally held to be true; especially : one held in common by members of an organization, movement, or profession].

Because of the faith of many of our founding fathers, public prayer and national days of prayer have a long-standing and significant history in American tradition. For example, The Supreme Court affirmed the right of state legislatures to open their sessions with prayer in Marsh vs. Chambers (1983).

The National Day of Prayer (NDOP), was established thru a bill and signed by President Truman in 1952. It established that this day was to be determined by each president as a day of his (or her) choice In 1988, President Reagan signed an amendment to the bill establishing the first Thursday of May as a day where members of all faiths could pray together in their own way. Remember that last phrase: “where all faiths could pray together in their own way”. Now along comes U.S. Federal Judge Barbara B. Crabb.

On October 3, 2008 the Freedom From Religion Foundation sued President George W. Bush, et al., at a federal court in Madison, Wisconsin. Their basic argument, as always for a group of agnostics and atheists, was that the NDOP violated the basic principle of “separation of church and state”.

On April 15. 2010, Judge Crabb made a judgment on the case that the National Day of Pray was unconstitutional because it is an "an inherently religious exercise that serves no secular function". Quickly, let’s define the term secular as found in Webster’s dictionary: “a. of or relating to the worldly or temporal; b. not overtly or specifically religious; c. not ecclesiastical or clerical “. Can we say a Progressive Judge??!! How did she justify stretching the meaning behind “a religious exercise serving no secular (non- religious) function” as being a constitutional issue. Please, somebody help me understand that rationale. Whether a religious function is inherently non-secular, by definition, does not deem it unconstitutional, whether the function be national or denominational. If Crabb’s judgment was credible, then all churches which received tax-payer funds would be unconstitutional. Now that would include ALL churches, since they receive tithes and donations from tax-paying citizens. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: THIS SECULAR PROGRESSIVE RATIONALE IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!

President Reagan went the extra step to ensure that all faiths were included and no one faith would be exercised over another. Another argument from FFRF that the National Day of Prayer would allow the federal government to declare Christianity as a national religion was a heavy influence on Judge Crabb’s decision. I guess even Federal Judges don’t understand (or have not read) the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States.

We have a secular judicial system to work with a band of Progressives and Socialists on the legislative and executive branches of our government. This country is, and has been, throwing Christianity (and inherently other faiths) out the window. AND WE, THE PEOPLE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALLOWING THIS TO HAPPEN!! We are long overdue to stand up to the court system and our governments, on all levels, and demand that all judgments regarding religious beliefs be based on our God-given rights as influenced by and written into our Constitution.

WE, THE PEOPLE of the United States of America can practice our faith at any time, regardless of what the courts say. WE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH, CAN AND WILL PRACTICE OUR FAITH AND EXPRESS OUR VIEWS OF GOD AND HIS ONE TRUE SON, JESUS CHRIST, ANY TIME THAT WE CHOOSE AND THE GOVERNMENT AND THE COURTS WILL JUST HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT!! WE THE PEOPLE OF THE USA WHO PRACTICE OTHER FAITHS SHALL AND MUST PRACTICE THEIR FAITH ANY TIME THAT WE SO CHOOSE AND THE GOVERNMENT AND THE COURTS WILL JUST HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT!! Hopefully, Justice is taking over in this madness known as the court-martial of Navy Seals Matthew McCabe, Jonathan Keefe and Julio Huertas. Announced thru AP and confirmed on Fox News this morning (4/06/10), the military judge will allow the testimony of witnesses who saw the capture and arrest of terrorist Ahmed Hashim Abed.
Abed is the terrorist responsible for the capture of four Blackwater employees, including killing, burning, dragging thru the streets and hung on a bridge crossing the Euphrates. These three aforementioned witnesses are also being held in detention. Also, the judge will allow the three Seals to confront Abed in court.
In the meantime, where is the Commander in Chief? POTUS, the CIC of all military forces could end this nonsense with the complete dismissal of this case. "Navy Seals responsible for the capture of the most evil of all terrorists, barring Bin Laden, are being court martialed for punching this "pig" in the face, as claimed by this "pig"??" Proceeding to court-martials based on the claim of this “pig” of a terrorist is a direct assault against our men and women of the armed forces, currently serving and veterans alike. I must remember, however: I’m talking about the President who has repeatedly shown disdain for our military forces and their efforts in our war against terrorism. Oh, my fault: the “engagement against enemy combatants”. I have continuously sent emails and phone calls to the White House imploring the President to step in and end this madness and I will continue to do so, knowing that BHO bears no concern for our men and women in uniform performing their duties of protecting our country. I encourage everyone to call, email, fax, etc. to the White House for BHO to stop this madness NOW.

WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE OVER NAVY SEALS COURT MARTIAL?

I've noticed very little coverage from the Main Stream Media (most national papers and publications, along with all 24-hour news networks, with some exception for Fox News). This is an outrage. The facts should be continuously brought forward for We, the People to access readily so that we can see the truth behind this fiasco known as the Navy Seal's court martial (Special Warfare Operator 2nd Class Matthew McCabe). Following is an email that I have been sending to the White House (for the past few weeks) every mornig that calls for the "Commander in Chief" (CIC) to step in and stop this debacle. I will continue to do send this email every morning if the "President" does not take the appropriate action:

EMAIL TO WHITE HOUSE RE: NAVY SEALS COURT MARTIAL

Mr. President,
I implore you, as Commander in Chief of our military forces, to put an end to the court martial of Navy Seals Matthew McCabe, Jonathan Keefe and Julio Huertas. These soldiers, protecting you, me and all Americans, are going thru the court martial based on claims by the wanted terrorist Ahmed Hashim Abed of being punched in the face during his capture. This is the terrorist responsible for the capture, killing, and burning and dragging thru the streets of four Blackwater employees before hanging their bodies on a bridge crossing the Euphrates. On top of that, we have three other witnesses who saw what happened when Abed was detained and will testify under oath that the terrorist was not mistreated. As a veteran, I am deeply saddened and insulted that our CIC has not stepped in and stopped this misuse of the military justice system, the UCMJ. The more misspelled words the better...You could also dress in overalls with no shirt, or a stained "wifebeater" t-shirt, But you get the general idea.

Some other thoughts are to ask people at the rally to sign a petition renouncing socialism. See just how much info you can get from these folks (name address, DOB, Social Security #). The more data we can mine from the Tea Partiers, the more mayhem we can cause with it!!!!

It appears that this site only has 35 members, but they have a lot of views/comments on several discussions that lead one to believe that they may have more members. However, even taking this into consideration, I would say that their current membership is probably less than 100 members. This is a press release from Phyllis Schafly explaining her opinion why a second Constitutional Convention would not work (for instance, in removing the health care law)in today's political climate. I am totally in agreement with her argument.

WE THE PEOPLE: DO WE PLAY THEIR GAME?

Since the first major march in Washington on April 15, 2009, We, the People have declared that the Republic belonged to the citizens of this great country. We exclaimed with a loud voice that the representatives of both Houses of Congress and in the White House served the electorate, not the other way around. Despite our continued declarations, peaceful marches, petitions and our growth in numbers of Patriots, the “establishment” in Washington have purposefully ignored our message and continued to work towards transforming our Republic into a Socialist state, in the name of “social justice”. They have advocated the Progressive/Socialist agenda that has slowly indoctrinated itself into our society and within our government, on all levels, since the late 1800s.
The radical movements of the 60’s and early 70’s were rebellious attempts to “overturn” our Republic form of government. And they failed. As an alternative, they turned to the Cloward-Piven strategy, which is based on decimating the infrastructure of our society from within thru proposals such as “to create a crisis in the current welfare system – by exploiting the gap between welfare law and practice – that would ultimately bring about its collapse and replace it with a system of guaranteed annual income. They hoped to accomplish this end by informing the poor of their rights to welfare assistance, encouraging them to apply for benefits and, in effect, overloading an already overburdened bureaucracy.” ("The Weight of the Poor: A Strategy to End Poverty", Cloward and Piven, May, 1966). This tactic, including radically enhancing the “Great Society” philosophy of President L. Johnson and perverted by overexpenditures in the welfare programs, has only led to a dependence on the “state” to provide for a meager means of livelihood for those in the poverty levels. Neither major political parties nor the main stream media have yet to understand that our movements for the restoration of Constitutional principles has involved We, the People who are united not by political party lines or propaganda. Now their latest tactics include branding our movement as one of radical extremism, violence and intimidation. This latest game that they have chosen to play is the same ploy that was used by the very radicals of the 1960’s and early 70’s whom are now intimately involved as “advisors” to POTUS and key members of Congress. Their previous tactics of rebellion in the streets, bombing of federal offices like the Pentagon and speeches of hate against the Law of the Land (the Constitution of the United States) failed.
We MUST make it clear that the independent, Constitutionally-conscious movement that was started well over a year ago was established to educate our fellow citizens, friends and family on what has been happening to our society and our government (local to federal) thru gradual progress of this Socialist movement. We were established to help We, the People understand the Law of the Land, the Constitution of the United States, and the God-guided philosophies that our Founding Fathers followed In developing the Constitution, along with the Declaration of Independence. ARE WE GOING TO GIVE AWAY OUR MIRACLE?

"We are thankful for the abundant blessings You have bestowed on America. Our forefathers looked to You as Protector, Provider, and the Promise of hope. But we have wandered far from that firm foundation. May we repent for turning our backs on Your faithfulness."

This was posted by a good friend and spiritual Patriot on Facebook earlier today. I read the prayer from Franklin and was at a loss for words that would equate to the message. That was until I then read (on Halberdash.com and also recognized a posting from another friend and Patriot) where Fidel Castro claimed that the HC reform law was a "MIRACLE". To further quote Fidel: "We consider health reform to have been an important battle and success of his (Obama's) government. It's really incredible that 234 years after the Declaration of Independence....the government of that country has approved medical attention for the majority of its citizens, something that Cuba was able to do half a century ago."
This from a country where their health care system is, according to International Red Cross, one of the most dismal and inadequate systems they have ever supported. One where the Cuban prison system provides negligible health care to their prisons (see http://www.therealcuba.com ). One where the peasants living outside of Havana and within the slums of Havana have no viable access to health care, except for help from the International Red Cross and other similar organizations contributing help to the needy.
He (Castro) needs to recognize true MIRACLES: the miracle where Jesus returned from the dead so that we may follow him into God's graces; the miracle that brought together "terrorists" and "activists" to create the greatest country on Earth, with the guidance of God's Law to establish the Law of the Land, our Constitution of the United States; the miracle of charity from the American people when foreign nations such as Indonesia, Haiti and, yes, CUBA during their time of need for help due to, basically, utter physical destruction of their countrysides.
Franklin Graham is right in that We, the People have gradually turned our faces away from the firm foundation which God guided our Founding Fathers to base our Declaration of Independence and the Constitution upon. We, the People allowed this inflitration of socialistic/progressive/marxist (call it what you want; it still smells) into our society and our government over the past 100 years. We allowed this thru the concept of apathy. We relied on our elected representatives to govern accordingly and represent our needs and didn't give the time needed to monitor their activities. Thru apathy, we gave our God-given rights and liberties to our government (on all levels). And now we are having to fight and scratch (figuratively speaking) to restore our God-given rights and to RESTORE OUR REPUBLIC.
That fight has been in full swing since early last year and will continue until our Republic is restored. But we cannot win this fight for our country, our children and our future generations if we don't recognize that our rights and freedoms are blessed upon us by Our Father and cannot be bestowed upon us by government laws. This MIRACLE, the United States of America, cannot be returned to it's citizens until WE,the Citizens of the USA recognize and reaffirm God's role in our lives, liberties and our country. Only then shall we prevail, with God's Blessings.

RETRACTION TO 3/21/10 POST: EMAIL TO REP. BARROW (GA-12th)

When I wrote the original post on 3/22/10 at noon, OpenCongress.org had Rep. John Barrow's vote on HR 3590 as an AYE vote. Hence, my "blasting" of Rep. Barrow for neglecting his principles and voting along party lines, which was contrary to the correspondences that I have had with John Barrow over the past year regarding health care reform. When researching all votes from Georgia representatives on govtrack.us this morning, I discovered that his vote was recorded as a NO vote against HR 3590 and the Reconciliation bill HR 4872. This was confirmed thru other sources. In other words, John held true to the principles that I expected out of him based on earlier correspondences in the past year on health care reform. I've sent an email to his office to retrack my latest correspondence and will be calling him after this is posted. One would think that by the following day of a vote in Congress, the tally would be accurately recorded in OpenCongress.org.
For all Georgians of the 12th district on FB, Rep. Barrow's voting record and bills that he has sponsored or co-sponsored have been over 95% (basically 100%) conservative, Constitutinally principled legislation which have avoided the usual Socialist/liberal rhetoric and bases of his fellow Democrats and some Republicans. Currently, Rep. John Barrow's rating is less than 30%. I strongly encourage all residents within the 12th district to fully research John's voting record and study the bills which he has sponsored and cosponsored in the past two years. With careful consideration, I believe that you will come to the conclusion that John Barrow's performance during this tenure has been more conservative and Constitutionally principled than many RHINOS currently in office in both houses of Congress. As an Independent voter with strong conservative and Constitutionally based principles, I look forward to researching and endorsing candidates who reflect the same ideals and have convinced me that they will stay within their principles when elected to their contested seats (from local to state to federal).

THIRD PARTY CANDIDATES’ CHANCES IN THE NOV. 2010 ELECTIONS

For all those who think that now is the time to vote for a third party candidate, especially on the federal and state level of elections, you are hurting your own cause. From what I have viewed, those who entertain a third party candidate AND actively participate in discussions and comments on so many sites such as Tea Party Nation (and others) are not seeing the important point behind their actions: If a third party candidate was a viable solution in the upcoming election for a particular seat, he (or she) would have a ground swelling of support within their state that would obviously point out their dominance over other candidates (especially the incumbent) in the polls and in the media. Now keep this in mind and research the media reports (from newspapers, radio, TV and the Internet) and study the polls. What you routinely see (I've been researching this across the country for the last three weeks) is that the third party candidate(s) haven't a chance at removing any incumbents in November. But what I have seen, on a routine basis, is a ground swelling of support for Constitutionally-principled, morally ethical candidates (Republican and Democrat) who are entering the political arena and are leading or face-to-face with the incumbent leftist liberal Democrat or progressive RHINO. It is required of us, as We the People, to support the strongest Constitutionally-principled conservative candidates within the major parties to oust those incumbents who are "professional politicians" and have played, at a minimum, a complicit role in allowing the Socialist agenda to work it's way into our political system and our society.
Our goal, as We, the People, after the November, 2010 elections, is to monitor the candidates who we have voted into position, grade their votes and their efforts and ensure that they are maintaining their principles and values, as opposed to being corrupted by the “system”. If the feedback is negative, then we find someone else to take their place. Along that line, we encourage our state governments to pursue annulment proceedings against those candidates who are participating and voting in deference to what we elected them to do.
Remember: the goal of finding independently-minded, Constitutionally-principled, morally ethical citizens to encourage to run for office was to, quite simply, “SAVE OUR REPUBLIC”. All across our country, we are seeing examples of citizens who meet this criteria and our running under that banner, whether the major political party that they are representing does not fit the same criteria. This is predominant in the Republican Party and those citizens are/were pursuing this avenue because they believed that, with the help of other similarly-minded candidates across this nation, We, the People will transform the party, especially the RP, to a Constitutional, conservative minded group that will legislate and execute their powers within the restraints of the U.S. Constitution.
As for the real growth of independent third parties, their time may come based on the performance of our elected officials after this November. If a Constitutionally-principled third party presents a platform and candidates that reflects the changes that are needed in our different levels of government, I for one will strongly support such organization and will work hard to provide the party with a strong candidate who will dominate over any candidate presented by any other political party. But for now, this third party dominance doesn’t routinely exist across the country. Hence, the supporters and candidates from such like-minded third parties are needed to change our political system and infuse back the Constitutional principles into our political mainstream. It’s the best chance we have to get rid of the cretins who are running our country (and our states) down the road to obscurity and financial ruin.
I welcome any comments and encourage any doubters to research their third party candidate’s chances at being elected into their desired positions/seats.

PERMANENT REMOVAL OF ACORN FROM YOUR STATE

A conservative libertarian group, the 1851 Center for Constitutional Law , has legally and permanently removed ACORN from the state of Ohio. You remember this group?!: The voter fraud group at the center of Candidate BHO's recruiting efforts during the last election process.
As reported by the Associated Press (Dec., 2009:

"The suit alleged that ACORN's voter registration drives amounted to organized crime because the group turned in a pattern of fraudulent forms.

Attorney Maurice Thompson with the 1851 Center calls the settlement mostly confidential but says it calls for ACORN to cease operating in Ohio by June 1."

Now that Ohio has managed to pull this off, where are the same efforts from most of the other 49 states (or 56 other states, according to BHO)? Some states have pursued legal action against ACORN employees for voter registration fraud, from which have resulted in a "slap on the hand" to the ACORN organization in their state and fines/jail times for specific individuals. It is imperative that all states pursue legal action against the ACORN organization, such as Ohio has done. This is crucial to the upcoming elections this November. We cannot afford fraudulent voter registration where people signed up by ACORN vote twice within their state, deceased individuals signed up by ACORN were voting, along with other fraudlent registration actions.

All citizens of this great country must look within their state and find out what ACORN's status is as regarding voter registration in their state. If they are organized within your state, research the protocol and actions taken by the 1851 Center for Constitutional Law organization and puruse this legally within your state court system. We, the People MUST STOP this organization from once again tainting an important election cycle.

THE REAL STORY BEHIND A REAL HERO
(sharing a letter between two veterans; know you'll like this)

Head east from Carthage on Mississippi 16 toward Philadelphia. And after a few miles. a sign says you're in Edinburg. It’s a good thing the sign is there, because there's no other way to tell. On June 15, 1919, Van T. Barfoot was born in Edinburg. Probably didn’t make much news, either.

Twenty-five years later, on May 23, 1944, near Carano, Italy, Van T. Barfoot, who had enlisted in the Army in 1940, set out to flank German machine gun positions from which fire was coming down on his fellow soldiers.
He advanced through a minefield, took out three enemy machine gun positions and returned with 17 prisoners of war.

If that wasn’t enough for a days work, he later took on and destroyed three German tanks sent to retake the machine gun positions.

That probably didn't make much news either, given the scope of the war, but it did earn Van T. Barfoot, who retired as a colonel after also serving in Korea and Vietnam, a Congressional Medal of Honor.

What did make news last month was a neighborhood association's quibble with how the 90-year-old veteran chose to fly the American flag outside his suburban Virginia home.
Seems the rules said a flag could be flown on a house-mounted bracket, but, for decorum, items such as Barfoot’s 21-foot flagpole were unsuitable.

He had been denied a permit for the pole, erected it anyway and was facing court action if he didn’t take it down. Since the story made national TV, the neighborhood association rethought its position and agreed to indulge this old hero who dwells among them.

"In the time I have left, I plan to continue to fly the American flag without interference", Barfoot told The Associated Press.
As well he should. And if any of his neighbors still takes a notion to contest him, they might want to read his Medal of Honor citation. It indicates he's not real good at backing down.

This 1944 Medal of Honor citation, listed with the National Medal of Honor Society, is for Second Lieutenant Van T. Barfoot, 157th Infantry, 45th Infantry:

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty on 23 May 1944, near Carano, Italy.

With his platoon heavily engaged during an assault against forces well entrenched on commanding ground, 2d Lt. Barfoot moved off alone upon the enemy left flank. He crawled to the proximity of 1 machine gun nest and made a direct hit on it with a hand grenade, killing 2 and wounding 3 Germans. He continued along the German defense line to another machine gun emplacement, and with his tommygun killed 2 and captured 3 soldiers. Members of another enemy machine gun crew then abandoned their position and gave themselves up to Sgt. Barfoot.

Leaving the prisoners for his support squad to pick up, he proceeded to mop up positions in the immediate area, capturing more prisoners and bringing his total count to 17. Later that day, after he had reorganized his men and consolidated the newly captured ground, the enemy launched a fierce armored counterattack directly at his platoon positions. Securing a bazooka, Sgt. Barfoot took up an exposed position directly in front of 3 advancing Mark VI tanks.
From a distance of 75 yards, his first shot destroyed the track of the leading tank, effectively disabling it, while the other 2 changed direction toward the flank.
As the crew of the disabled tank dismounted, Sgt. Barfoot killed 3 of them with his tommygun. He continued onward into enemy terrain and destroyed a recently abandoned German fieldpiece with a demolition charge placed in the breech.
While returning to his platoon position, Sgt. Barfoot, though greatly fatigued by his Herculean efforts, assisted 2 of his seriously wounded men 1,700 yards to a position of safety.
Sgt. Barfoot's extraordinary heroism, demonstration of magnificent valor, and aggressive determination in the face of point blank fire are a perpetual inspiration to his fellow soldiers.

We know that the current state of affairs in our great nation has many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military.
For those of you who can't join, you can still lend a hand. Here are a few of the areas where we would like your assistance:

1. The next time you see any adults talking (or wearing a hat) during the playing of the National Anthem,
“kick their ass”.

2.. When you witness, firsthand, someone burning the American Flag in protest,
“ kick their ass”.

3. Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these veterans made to make this Nation great. Then hold them down while a disabled veteran

“kicks their ass”.

4. If you were never in the military, DO NOT pretend that you were. ‘Wearing battle dress uniforms (BDUs) or Jungle Fatigues, telling others that you used to be 'Special Forces'’
Collecting GI Joe memorabilia might have been okay when you were seven years old. Now, it will only make you look stupid and “get your ass kicked”.

5. Next time you come across an Air Force member, do not ask them, “Do you fly a jet?” Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot. Such ignorance deserves an ass-kicking (children are exempt).

6. If you witness someone calling the US Coast Guard 'non-military', inform them of their mistake
“ and kick their ass”.

7. Next time Old Glory (the US flag) prances by during a parade, get on your damn feet and pay homage to her by placing your hand over your heart. Quietly thank the military member or veteran lucky enough to be carrying her. Of course, failure to do either of those could earn you a “severe ass-kicking”.

9. 'Your mama wears combat boots' never made sense to me; stop saying it! If she did, she would most likely be a vet and therefore would “kick your ass!”

10. 'Flyboy' (*Air Force*), 'Jarhead' (*Marines*), 'Grunt' (*Army*),
'Squid' (*Navy*), 'Puddle Jumpers' (*Coast Guard*), etc., are terms of endearment we use describing each other. Unless you are a service member or vet, you have not earned the right to use them.
Using them “could get your ass kicked”.

11. Last, but not least, whether or not you become a member of the military, support our troops and their families. Every Thanksgiving and religious holiday that you enjoy with family and friends, please remember that there are literally thousands of soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen far from home wishing they could be with their families. Thank God for our military and the sacrifices they make every day. Without them, our Country would get it's ass kicked.

12. It's the Veteran, NOT the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press.

13. It's the Veteran, NOT the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.

14. It's the Veteran, NOT the community organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.

15. It's the Military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag.

AND ONE MORE:

16. If you ever see anyone singing the national anthem in Spanish,

Before I start, I want to point out that Harry Reid’s retirement party will be held in the streets of Reno and Las Vegas starting the evening of November 2,2010 (my treat; just kidding but I wouldn’t mind being rich enough to pull it off) and probably every American Patriot in the country will be there to celebrate with the Nevadans.
BUT, SERIOUSLY:

Nevada has two main choices: Sue Lowden (whose Constitutionally-principled platform I like,however ...) was the Nevada Republican Party chairman ("professional politician??") and, along with at one time owning the Sahara hotel/casino, is currently the Executive Vice President of the gaming company Archon Corporation; and you have Danny Tarkanian, not a professional politician in any stretch of the word, whose political philosophy is based on constitutional conservatism with limited government who opposes the government takeover of private sector industries. He believe in a smaller government which would leave no restrictions for We, the People to achieve his or her own ambitions. Interesting choices, Nevada: either way, you will get rid of "ol' Harry" in November. My recommendations: Danny T. He has no political dues to be paid (such as owing the RHINOS because someone was the state Party Chair) and no lobbyists to influence him (such as the gambling associations in Nevada, like ?Sue?).

It was pointed out to me by one of your fellow Nevadans that Sue’s record of supporting Harry Reid’s agenda is obvious to the casual observer. To a researcher like myself who vetts his sources, I totally agree. Now that Sue has announced her candidacy, she has claimed that she has “changed”. They all say "I've changed" once they have entered the campaign arena, especially in this climate where We, the People are more involved and refused to stay "dumbed down" anymore. Though I'm from GA, I have a vested interest in getting Reid out of office and replacing him with someone with real principles and values. With Danny in office, maybe he'll rub off on our two Senators (especially Isakkson) and we Georgians will have Senators who vote their conscience based on what their constituents are asking for and not listenting to outside "advisors" (lobbyists). I'll work to support Danny anyway that I can.

I’ve also wanted Reid out because of Yucca Mountain. As an engineer in the Radiological Control field, I've worked with commercial nuclear reactors for 18.5 years and now with DOE sites going thru decommissioning and remediation. I've consistently sent emails (don't ask me how I do it) to Reid's office, along with faxes, pointing out that Yucca Mountain would be a boon to regional employment and businesses. There is a lot that goes into maintaining a storage facility like Yucca Mountain and would require many employees. It is also the best designed storage facility in the world and is the safest (environmentally and radiologically) that anyone could ask for, short of sending the waste into the sun. ;) However, Harry continues to listen to the environmental lobbyists whose rationale on why Yucca Mountain is unnecessary and unsafe is based on conjecture, not scientific basis.

NEVADA, the choice is yours. Either way, you’re going to get rid of Harry Reid and I (and many other American Patriots) support and applaud you for your efforts. The question is: Do you want someone who has no vested interest in becoming Senator, other than representing his constituents from Nevada with the Constitution in his hand at all times, or do you want another “professional politician” who will owe favors to particular lobbyists and comes from the same old state GOP committee who has been supporting Harry Reid throughout the majority of his career as Senator by running lackluster campaigns for your GOP candidates? The answer is clear to me from way over here in Georgia. P.S. GO, RUNNIN’ REBELS.

BASIC PROBLEMS WITHIN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY

Within the media, on the 'net waves and within the latest movements designed to work towards restoring our Republic back to the people, we encounter continuous arguments regarding "Independents'" effects on the Republican Party. We also hear continuous arguments as to how the difference between moderates and conservatives are leading to a deleterious affect on the Republican Party. Those who know my views should recognize that I am an independent philosopher of politics who supports our Constitutional principles as designed by our Founding Fathers. For the sake of argument, allow me to focus on the problems within the Republican Party with a few points of opinion:
1. Senator McCain lost the 2008 election because of his "compromising" approach towards resolving legislative issues during his political career. This is a definition of a moderate Republican and this approach is what disenfranchised so many conservative voters who chose not to vote for McCain. His campaign's mismanagement of Palin's conservative voice led to the same problems with conservative voters. Despite her immediate attraction to conservatives following the VP announcement, the McCain campaign staff became just as guilty of degrading Palin as the liberals, because she was not a compromiser. Check out your political history and you'll see this same mistake of those moderate/compromising Presidents (regardless of partY)of the past.
2. Everyone must clearly define their principles and values of either small government, constitutional principles as written and designed, and defined morals and Christian ethics or those principles of large government involvement, spending policies that leave the country in continuous debt, disregard of constitutional rights and mandates, and lack of Christian ethics (in other words, liberal approaches). There is no longer any room for compromising between the two approaches.
3. The current Republican National Committee is undergoing internal issues as to where their real platform is aimed towards. Moderate thinkers (who haven't been listening lately anymore than liberal thinkers) are in conflict with conservative thinkers in establishing a clear policy and platform. Michael Steele has his hands full in establishing a viable and believable platform for the party. This has been recognized by the RGA (Republican Governors Association) in particular.
4. As We, the People, it is well past time to get past arguing about moderates vs. conservatives. We, the People now have the opportunity to work together in selecting, campaigning and electing candidates on the local, state and federal levels of government who believe in the American spirit and ability, reflects principles and values, morals and Christian ethics that you believe in, supports our Constitutional rights as granted to us, and are running for office not because they want to be or are a politician but because they desire to represent their electorate rightfully, yet have some reluctance to run for office. When you have someone who is reluctant to run for office, you have a true Patriot who sees the need to have honorable men and women to represent We, the People in their applicable areas.

A FELLOW PATRIOT WITH AMERICAN POLITICS FOR THE SENATE

I am supporting Chuck Donovan as the Senatorial candidate for 2010 in Georgia. This gentleman is an example of a patriot who has a firm understanding of the problems in our country (from the various issues in our country to the actual causes of our ongoing problems). Chuck would represent Georgia in a far more representative capacity of our great state than Johnny Isakkson has. Johnny has been a great disappointment to me because he allowed himself to be sucked into the lobbyist system in Washington and is influenced by such (ex., lobbyists associated with real estate, which would lead to home mortgaging and banking issues). Following is a response I received from Chuck in mid-December where I had previously sent him some leading questions regarding his candidacy and his persona. I believe that you will see the improvements we would receive by placing Chuck in the Senate this November and will appreciate his principles and values:

Mr. Conant
Pardon my slow response time. I am a third party candidate and all
that implies, including the lack of a large campaign staff, a "day"
job for putting bread on the table, and a family. I did however,
manage to visit your blog and enjoyed what I read there. I offer a
somewhat lengthy reply as both a thorough introduction of myself, and
a proffer for my allowing your email to go so long unanswered.

Just wanted to add my acknowledgment to a fellow veteran, especially
the fact that you are the son of a phellow Phantom phlyer. I also
liked the SR-71 vids. I watched them operate out of Kadena in 1986
during my deployment there.

When I read your email calling yourself, "an independent, with
conservative values", I thought it pretty well described myself and
many of those around me in the Libertarian Party. We also agree that
Johnny and Saxby are disappointments, but as a someone who supported
the Republican Party since before Reagan, I have to add that the
Republican Party itself has been a disappointment. As a young Marine
officer I was taught to "lead from the front". Every opportunity the
Republicans have had to take the lead, they have declined. I started
out in a Labor Democrat family in liberal Massachusetts. Still, I had
the independence of thought to reject all ideas of collectivism and
embrace the general ideals of individual freedom of choice, private
property, freedom of contract and business, minimal government, and
fiscally conservative action by government. This is what I thought
the Republicans have been promising since Goldwater. However, every
time the Republicans had the majority they delivered the exact
opposite. Our government is bloated, and our Bill of Rights is nearly
shredded. I believe our country is in crisis now, and the cause of
the crisis is poor leadership, and unmitigated ignorance and flaunting
of our dear Constitution by both the Democratic and Republican parties.

My answers to your specific questions:

> 1. What attributes to you bring to the table to convince citizens
> of Georgia like myself that you are the best Senate candidate for

Four primary attributes:
1. Unerring respect for:
Natural Rights as described by Locke and articulated by Jefferson
Individual freedom of choice
Private property
Freedom and enforcement of contracts (includes freedom of"non-contract")

2. With that I get the drive to:
- Reduce the size and scope of government to allow individual
choice and individual action to correct the problems we face.
- Fiscally redirect our out-of-control government
- Take away the central government's blank check - the Fed.
- Reduce pay rates for all of Congress, all Federal government
workers at the supervisory level and above, freeze pensions at their
current values and institute 401(k)'s with 2% matching funds. No
additional staff or benefits.
- Significantly reduce Federal government spending, size and scope
- Balance the budget below the amount of annual tax receipts and
apply the balance to reducing the national debt.

3. A full understanding of Austrian Economics
- Keynesian Economics, nothing more than a technical excuse for
those who adore government, is a failure
4. I am not a professional politician.
- I have no one I will need to pay back other than the people of Georgia.
- I am in touch with what it means to be a working American. I
think the Democratic and Republican "leadership" is well out of touch.

Lastly, I am not a Republican or Democrat. Those parties have failed
us all and the people of Georgia should fire the lot of them.

> 2. Is your campaign already organized with staff and county
> directors/leaders to generate support? If not, what is your latest
> status in regards to your campaign organization?

- I currently have a Treasurer. I have some help from friends and
fellow Libertarians, but I am looking for a good campaign manager.
Regional Libertarian Party affiliates have offered their support
around the state. I am in touch with State leadership of the party
and expect to receive the party's nomination at our spring convention.
- I am also in need of funding.

> 3. What are your specific issues, as opposed to the general
> description of your philosophical beliefs (of which I strongly
> support)?

Two main problems as I see it:
1. The Democrats and Republicans are fighting to run our lives.
Their policies only differ in degree. We have to fight to run our own
lives.
2. Too much of what working Americans and working American
businesses produce is taken by government.

We must stop Washington, D.C.'s confiscation of our money, material,
and power. Once we return that to the hands of the people who work
for it, I am confident the American people will work their own way out
of any problem.

ECONOMICS is primary. Get the money right and most of the rest will follow.
1. We absolutely MUST get government spending under control
Take away the central government's blank check - the Fed
Reduce salaries and benefits for government representatives
and department heads
Term limits
2. We MUST significantly reduce the national debt.
3. We MUST either transition the dollar to a commodity backed
currency, or end Legal Tender laws to allow the introduction to our
economy, competing currencies. In this way we will preserve the value
of personal savings accounts.
4. We need a simplified and better tax system. A new system should
be understandable by all, paid into by all, and take less from the
American people and American businesses. I favor a single rate tax
with no exceptions on types of income, and no write-offs or credits.
Any new tax system must not take more from Americans than the current
system.
5. We have an unusual opportunity right now to put our banks
on a 100% reserve requirement standard. Among other things this would:
- End the need for more bailouts
- Make consumers view their banks differently and compare on more
than just interest rate paid.
- Reduce or nearly eliminate bank failures
- End the need for the FDIC
- Ensure the value of the dollar
- End inflation of the dollar

DEFENSE
1. US troops are unconstitutionally deployed to too many places.
Bring them home and sell the bases. Earmark the income from the sales
to pay down the national debt.
2. Reduce troop deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan. Allow both
countries to find their own governments no matter what that might be.
(freedom of choice) Maintain a presence in the area to disrupt Al
Queda operations and to intercept funding for further radical Islamic
actions. (I will shortly be publishing an article with more details
on the subject of the Afghanistan war escalation and the "Global War
on Terror".)
3. Engage with China to show them that a unified Korean peninsula
would not be an opportunity for us to deploy US troops on the Korea
China border.
4. Bring the troops home from WWII. The Europeans can afford to
defend themselves.

EDUCATION is necessary for a good society, a good life, and for the US
to compete in the global economy. Our education system is failing,
and the government is at fault.
1. Shut down the Department of Education.
2. Government money spent on a child should go with the child to
whatever schooling the parents choose.
3. End tenure for government employed educators. They should
receive 5 year contracts with requirements to be achieved prior to
renewal.
4. End government involvement in higher education. Our colleges
will compete and re-achieve world status.

Stimulus, Strategic Investment, and Bailouts
End all government actions in these areas
No government has never succeeded in pushing forward an industry, new
or established, by giving it access to the national treasury.

> 4. Is this your first effort in entering politics; in other words,
> would you be considered as a "professional politician" or a citizen
> of We, the People who has decided that you have had enough and
> believe that you can be an asset for Georgia citizens as U.S. Senator?

CALL FOR UNITY TO VARIOUS PATRIOTIC GROUPS

"The time for rhetoric and fledgling organizations has now come to an end. 2010 is the year that we collaborate nationally, with all groups and organizations with similar convictions working together, and stand up as We, the People as we take our country back and begin the road to right the wrongs that have been and are being thrust upon us. This is my call to Liberty; what say you?!"

Consider that a direct quote from me. For the last eight months, various groups/organizations like ours (9.12) have been talking about how We, the People, are tired about our Constitutional rights being trampled on by our federal and states’ governments. We all have organized and pushed various agendas, such as promoting the return of a political party (Republican), supporting an Independent party and organizing rallies and petitions. All are noble causes but the efforts have been splintered with limited coordination. We, the People must collaborate together during this election year and beyond and find out how all organizations can work together to achieve the same common cause: The Restoration of Our Beloved Republic. It is time to put the petty differences aside and work/organize together. Efforts have already been underway with groups like Unite In Action (Nighta Davis), GOOOH (Tim Cox), and others meeting in Washington, D.C. earlier this month to work towards this goal. Even more influential groups, such as listed below, are needed to become involved in a collaborative effort.

Listed are the groups/organizations that I am a member of and am sending this same message to the group leaders. This can be done, if one is willing to work together with others. Imagine how the attendance at the 912 March on Washington, along with other marches/peaceful protests in D.C. could have been even larger than they already were (and we know how massive they actually were, despite the liberal press coverage).

(This is a short story that I submitted to a competition; limited to 715 words. Hope you like this)

As I sat down this morning to surf thru the shortwave, I remembered of a time when ‘surfing’ had a similar meaning. Back then, we took our freedoms for granted as we eagerly surfed the Internet or the TV. My grandchildren (eight and ten in age when they died) would look at me with awe as I would tell them stories of listening to XM radio while driving from South Carolina to South Georgia every weekend. I could keep the boys spellbound about classic rock and roll songs from the 1960’s, changing stations to listen to news from various networks, then sliding a CD to help me stay awake on those long trips. We took our God-given rights for granted, but that was another story that I was saving for another time.
They always asked about the music. But I knew they wanted the stories about the musicians that I grew up listening to and the crazy things I did during my younger days. Then I would pick up my Fender six-string acoustic and strum out a few songs, reflecting on my mood at that moment. Not being much of a singer, I discovered that the boys were quick at learning the words to songs like Stairway to Heaven, Clapton’s Change the World, and Pink Floyd’s Comfortably Numb. Man, their mother would be so upset at me. She was afraid that the boys would be overheard singing, as she put it, “those radical songs that you’ve taught them”. I knew she was remembering those times in her youth with fondness; yet there was caution to be taken. But all that was before the SuperFlu epidemic just five months ago.
The flu hit the youngest like a hungry eagle chasing down a small rabbit. We lost both boys in just 48 hours. A couple of months later, my Sweetheart left early one morning while I was still asleep. Her note said that she knew I was the strongest and could continue on without her. She was going to see Mama and I knew what that meant. I ran thru the house, and sure enough, her mother’s .38 caliber S&W revolver along with one of my hidden AK 47s were gone. I knew the automatic was for any trouble on her way down to her Mama’s grave near Eridu, Fl. The .38 would serve a final purpose at the end of her trip. With tears running down my cheeks, I read the words:
I’ve always loved you, Daddy. You were the rock for everyone to lean on when Mama died, then later when both Louis and Rick died during the Nashville rebellion. Please don’t try to follow me, as I’ve got the only car left and you wouldn’t be able to find another working car within 50 miles. You know what I’m going to do and I hope that God forgives me. Remember the truths that you warned me about not so long ago and I wouldn’t listen to?! Know that I came to understand what you were saying when martial law was declared, but I was a little too late. You were my hero when you drove up from home to rescue me and the boys. Louis would have been proud of you and James would have been grateful. You have always been my hero; now our country needs heroes. I love you forever, your Sweetheart.
Now, as I surf thru the shortwave, I reflect on the loss of my loved ones in such a short time. My beautiful wife, with that gleam of wisdom and beauty in her eyes, as she fussed about her hair; stroke. My son as he grew up and went to fight for the republic that I taught him about; died for freedom. My daughter whose final words about heroes still ring in my ears. Near tears, I find what I’ve been waiting for: “Blackwell Liberty nine”; A call to arms in Blackwell, S.C. in five days at nine o’clock pm.
With the horse saddled, the weapons and gear packed, and my dog Scruffy following along, we made our way out of town. A new revolution was beginning and our forsaken republic needed heroes.

IS THIS THE LAST STRAW?

Just a quick "running off of the mouth" by your's truly due to frustration at the long list of criminal actions that have been perpretrated in Washington, D.C. I'll be back soon with a new post with constructive structure that will close by pointing the finger of "GUILTY" at the responsible individuals. Enjoy for now:

From buying off Mary Landrieu's support for HC reform (let's see how LA's voters react in her next election), strongarming Joe Liebermann's support for HC reform by sending his leftist goons out to attack Joe's wife (who is supporting research for a cure to breast cancer), bringing the 5 terrorists guilty of planning and organizing the 9/11 attacks to a criminal trial in New York City (as opposed to a military tribunal where this belongs), delaying for 3 months a decision on Gen. McChrystle's request for 40,000+ troops, BHO's lack luster initial response to the Fort Hood massacre (remember how important it was to BHO to give a "shout out" after 2 minutes of "blah-blah-blah" before finally commenting on the massacre), BHO's lack of support for the CIA's operations as intended by their structure in their fight against terrorists, BHO's non-support of the three Navy Seals up for court martial for one punch to a dangerous terrorist leader whom they had captured, BHO's lackluster "diplomacy" as regarding Iran's defiance (along with North Korea) [I can go on and on but you get the message that BHO and his Socialist Circle of Friends in the White House and on Capitol Hill have no intention in working for the sake of our republic's economic future or our national security], now we have confirmed reports from three sources from Capitol Hill that Sen. Ben Nelson has been blackmailed to gain his support for the latest Senate version of "health care reform" or have Offutt Air Force Base placed on the next BRAC list; the very AFB that is the Strategic Command HQ for the Air Force's Strategic Air Command. If this action is confirmed, this is an act of treason in my book and must be handled by military justice accordingly. In other words, BHO, if your administration is guilty of this, well, "Remember Richard Nixon?"

THE GAMES IN WASHINGTON, D.C. MUST END

It is not that I believe, but that I know in my heart that our government has been perverted by the most vile of corruption: greed. We watch the games that are played on Capitol Hill, including negotiating/writing a bill of unconstitutional boundaries behind the symbolic "closed doors" where one party is the only one represented while the minority party stands outside and cries to We, the People of the injustice of it all. Yet, when you truly investigate the "leadership" of the minority party, you discover that they have played the same game before. You also discover that many within the minority party have voted on legislation based on what they can "barter" for, as opposed to the principles and values they should uphold. You also discover, upon a broader review, that the vast majority of members in both houses of Congress have voted based on influences by lobbyists and "outside" concerns, as opposed to voting based on what We, the People are calling for. You notice, as well, that while the minority party votes against major pieces of legislation that We, the People have voiced our concerns about, they have also voted in favor of other bills that have increased our federal spending levels, increased our national debt and continue to devalue our national currency. The gravest thought to all of this is that the members of the minority party have been doing this with full knowledge of the repercussions of their actions on our country. We see an occasional "light" when legislation is introduced that bears teeth in reigning in our federal government (ex: Ron Paul's HR 1207, Federal Reserve Transparency Act) yet the legislation, after being initially assigned to a committee, gathers dust because the leadership within the committee and the specific house of Congress are not in favor of considering such legislation. And this is regardless as to whether the proposed legislation carries over 1/2 of the membership within the particular house of Congress as cosponsors.
Where is the true concern/outrage and appropriate action from our elected representatives (from both houses) as regarding the actions taken by BHO and his "administration"? We hear of speeches on both floors and interviews on radio and TV regarding constitutional questions about the executive branch but we only see very limited action on the floor of both houses. It is truly just a political game engineered to allow certain members on Capitol Hill to "remind the sheeples of their grave concerns" so that they can appear as supportive of the outrage from We, the People. In the meantime, we see executive policies being made by BHO's Circle of Friends (ex: the "pay czar's" declared decision as to how to limit the pay of certain executives). These "czars/advisors" are making policies, with other outside influences as their supporting guidance, and then passing these policies onto their puppet/mouthpiece whom We, the People know as POTUS. BHO is the sophisticated, eloquent spokesperson for the advanced movements by the Socialists to degrade our nation and eventually turn our country into a pauper state. All of this so that our country can be at the whim of intenational interests (research the Bildenberg Group and George Soros, for starters). Yet, while We, the People declare our outrage towards the policies and the unconstitutional group of "policy-makers", our representation on Capitol Hill play their game of sending out their "talking heads" in an effort to convince us that they hear and support our grievances, while doing nothing of substantial quality to stop the madness within our executive branch. And all the while, our Senate Judiciary Committee continues to approve of nominees for federal judge positions (as offered by BHO) who have no intention of judging based on constitutional law but instead will continue to judge based on outside interests and "personal feelings".
Our Republic has become a shambles from what it was intended to be. The Socialist movement has taken a stranglehold on our country within the past 50 years and are aggressively pushing their agenda which they have slowly been preaching into our society and our government for appx. 100 years. The past four generations of American citizens have allowed this to happen due to our complacency to exercise our God-given right to vote and by voting (when we did) based on which "mouthpiece" was saying the right thing, as opposed to looking at where they had stood on important issues of the times prior to running for the particular seat of government.
So where does this leave us? We can find honest, principled, moral citizens (they are out there) and encourage them to be our representation in Wasington (and in our state capitols and local governments). This as the goal to restore our Republic and put government back within the constitutional boundaries that they should have always been abiding by. Otherwise, we have another choice, which I would regret seeing our country turn to. The choice is up to We, the People as individual citizens of our country. The choice is up to You, the concerned citizen to make. I've made mine and have been exercising it for what seems like an eternity. When are You going to make yours and declare it loudly for all to hear?

LEAVE THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE AS IS (AND HERE'S WHY)

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, One nation under GOD, indivisible with liberty and justice for all”

ARGUMENTS AGAINST USING “UNDER GOD” IN THE PLEDGE:
Some opponents argue that church and state should be kept separate as the Founding Fathers intended AND I concur. Others say the phrase "under God" in the Pledge places "undue coercion" on young children, thus violating the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. Many advocates of removing "under God" point out that the phrase was not written into the original pledge and that the opposition to returning to the original pledge is proof that "under God" is a religious symbol and not merely a secular practice. Allow me to poke some holes into these "arguments":

1.ARGUMENT: I’m pledging allegiance to a “flag”, a symbol or image that is not of God; God said that You shall have no other gods before Me and that You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

REBUTTAL: Definition of allegiance: adherence to something to which one is bound by a pledge or duty; devotion or loyalty to a person, group, or cause.

You are pledging allegiance to a cause (the republic of the USA) which is represented by a flag, NOT to the flag itself. The flag is a symbol of a country that was developed under the Laws of Nature (God’s Law) (The 5000 Year Leap, W. Cleon Skousen) and is therefore not a “carved image” of any other likeness than God (in other words, not in violation of the Second Commandment) nor expressing any allegiance to any other gods before God (Me, as expressed in the First Commandment).
The words “for which it stands” indicates that the flag is standing for (representative) of the republic (the United States of America) of which one is pledging allegiance to and the following phrase (One nation under God) recognizes that the USA is a nation under God’s law (rule).

Realizing that the country was developed under the Laws of Nature thru our Constitution and the First Amendment forbids Congress from making a law which establishes any religion:
If reciting the Pledge is truly a “religious act” in violation of the Establishment Clause, then so is recitation of the Constitution itself, the Declaration of Independence, the Gettysburg Address, the National Motto or the singing of the National Anthem (U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Newdon II).
2. SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE:

In the Federalist No. 69: Hamilton, there is a comparison of the duties of the President of the USA and the King of Britain. Part of this comparison included the following phrase: “The one [the President] has no spiritual jurisdiction; The other (King of Britain) is the supreme head and Governor of the national church.” The reflection intended here was that the leader of the USA has no legitimate powers to hold any control over spiritual matters, as opposed to the powers which the King of Britain held over spiritual concerns. Here is the intention regarding “separation of church and state” as intended by the Founding Fathers. The initial immigration to the American soil was for religious freedom. People in European countries and in other areas were tired of excessive taxation (which was driving them out of their homes and property) and oppressive religious servitude as controlled by the leader of their countries. Understanding this, the founding fathers called for “separation of church and state” solely for the purpose of not allowing the “state” (our different levels of government; local, state and federal) to direct what religious belief their patronage/citizens must abide by. Hence, the statement in the First Amendment called for freedom of religion via prohibition of any laws by Congress establishing a religion or of any laws prohibiting any exercise of religion.

3. LAWS OF NATURE (GOD’S LAW) ARE ENDOWED WITHIN THE CONSTITUTION

As recognized by constitutional scholars, such as W. Cleon Skousen (author of the 5000 YEAR LEAP), the principles and values of our nation's Founding Fathers were strongly influenced by the morals and ethics of many contemporaries who believed that man's actions would be judged by God. As argued previously, our Founding Fathers recognized that any government on earth could not be a direct reflection of the highest "government". Thus, man could not create a government that directly imposed religious beliefs (of any interpretation) upon it's constituents because we would then be declaring our government on the same level of judgement as God; hence the separation of church and state. Some of the contemporaries who reflected these ideals upon our Founding Fathers included:

A. John Locke: Natural Law is an eternal rule to all men, legislators as well as others. The rules that legislators make must be comfortable to the will of God (the laws of Nature) "Second Essay Concerning Civil Government"

B. Sir William Blackstone: The will of man’s Creator is the laws of Nature. Hence, this law is superior to any other manmade law of this world. The Laws of Nature is binding over all laws of any country and that any laws of man contrary to God’s Law bears no validity. "Commentaries on the Laws of England"
C. Algernon Sidney: Insisted that there was no divine right for kings to rule over the people. Insisted that the right to rule was within the people and no one could rule over the people without their consent. "Discourses Concerning Government"

Another argument pursued has regarded the so-called "COMPELLED SPEECH ISSUE". Following is how the Supreme Court has dealt with this approach and maintained Constitutional rights.

WEST VIRGINIA BOARD OF EDUCATION VS. BARNETTE (1943): Dealt with the required salute (extended upturned palm while reciting), which members of Jehovah’s Witness said was sacrilegious as applied to the First and Second Commandments; hence this requirement was against the inherited meaning of the First Amendment of the Constitution. Barnette underscored student rights and held that students could not be forced to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Future cases, such as Holloman vs. the Walker Board of Education of 2004 and Lane vs. Owens (Colorado, 2003) further reinforced that no student would be forced into reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

My evaluation as to how these cases, and the precedent set by the Barnette ruling, affect our country's principles is two-fold. I, using my rational side of my brain, must agree with the Constitutional argument used by SCOTUS in these and other previous cases, because I am a Constitutionalist. However, my emotional side recognizes that this "issue" would not even be an item for discussion if not for the Socialist/Progressive movement that has slowly plagued our country for over 100 years. On reflection, our Founding Fathers recognized that this "issue" would surface and our approach would be one example of how our country would forever interpret and use Constitutional principles. And so far, our republic has not stood up to the tests of time.

To wrap up the issue regarding the Pledge of Allegiance, it should simply stand as is. As explained, the flag represents a cause reflecting and following the will of God. Hence, one is still honoring God, placing no other Gods before him and creating no graven images of God. Thru Constitutional principles, no one (including children) can be coerced into reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, or any particular part of it, as granted by the freedom of speech, which in turns does not violate the Establishment Clause. By defining what the flag represents, the argument re: the separation of church and state and the First Amendment is still valid as applied to the Pledge of Allegiance.

WORLD GOVERNMENT AND CLIMATE CONTROL (PART TWO)

In PART ONE, we discussed how the current UN treaty markup (FCCC/AWGLCA/2009/INF.2) was based on assumptions without any valid scientific data for support and how actual scientific studies since the 1970s have debunked these assumptions. However, the efforts are still underway for world leaders to meet in Copenhagen in December, 2009 to reach agreement on the current details and approve this treaty. This left us with the following question:
“If climate change is insignificant as proven scientifically thru the use of real-time data, why the world-wide (United Nations, Al Gore, etc.) concerns over the need of a treaty for controlling climate change? And if this treaty is signed by President and approved by 2/3 of the U.S. Senate, why should American citizens by concerned?” Let’s address these questions with the significant details of this treaty, including the “organization” that will be developed and how this “organization” will affect our country.

Basically, this treaty recognizes two categories of international countries: “developed and underdeveloped countries”. This treaty is founded on the principle (see page 8, pp. a) that developed countries have a debt to underdeveloped countries thru financial support and helping to provide adaptations to new systems with low greenhouse (GHG) emissions. All countries (per page 8, pp 12) are required to develop climate response strategies, in line with their individual responsibilities and capabilities (as established under this treaty) to reach a low carbon and GHG emission economy. Developed countries will comply with all provisions within this treaty and will pledge (per page 9) to meet their targets regarding lower carbon and GHG emissions fully, effectively and in a reportable, verifiable manner. All developed countries must present Carbon Neutral Strategies (per page 15) to meet their quantified targets by 2020. Short-term carbon and GHG emission standards shall be met by 2020 with Long Term carbon and GHG emission standards to be met by 2050. These standards include reducing carbon dioxide concentrations to less than 450 parts per million, limit global average temperature rises to 2 degrees Centigrade, all of which would require lowering current 2020 GHG emissions (again, based on faulty unscientific assumptions) by 50% from 1990 levels to 2050.
Developed countries will be required to develop funds to finance full costs for preparation of national communications for developing countries. This funding includes transfer of technology for (to name just a few):
A. mitigation of emissions
B. Development and deployment of low carbon and “environmentally sound” technologies
C. Research and development of such technologies
D. Preparation of national action plans and implementation
E. Taxes on carbon emissions and “carbon-intensive” products and services
F. Share of proceeds from measures to limit emission from international aviation and maritime travel
G. A levy of 2% on international financial/monetary transactions on developed countries.

In essence, all funding collected would be used by “developing [aka: underdeveloped]” countries. Page 136 lists eleven different funds to be raised by developed countries, such as Adaptation, Global support for tariffs, mitigation of “Venture Capital” (start-up funds), and climate insurance, to name some of the funds listed. A Multilateral Climate Technology Fund will be established to:
A. Provide technology-related financial resources for R&D, manufacturing and implementation.
B. Developed countries will also assess contributions from:
1. Parts of their regular fiscal budgets
2. Taxation on carbon transactions and/or auction of emission permits
3. Fiscal revenue from energy and environmental taxation.
(Does subsection B remind you of our nation’s ongoing “Cap and Trade” legislation; it should)

The question arises: Who will govern this government-styled structure to ensure that all developed countries meet their financial obligations? A Convention of the Parties, as created by member nations of the UN and under the guidance of the UN Governing Body will be established for implementation, monitoring, reporting and verifying global cooperative actions, with the support of an Executive Board which will manage and disperse the funds collected. Will We, the People, allow for the additional taxes that will be needed to raise the revenue for the various funds required within this “treaty”? Will We, the People allow for this loss of national sovereignty that will be created via the terms of this Co-op style of world government as controlled and monitored by the UN’s Convention of the Parties? Both HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and President BHO have publicly stated recently that the President will not sign onto this “treaty” if the ongoing “Cap and Trade” legislation is not law by the time that the Copenhagen meeting takes place. I ask you: do you believe, given the Marxist/Socialist “tax the wealthy, spread the wealth” philosophies of the current administration, that the status of the “Cap and Trade” legislation will affect President BHO’s decision to sign onto this treaty which emulates his administration’s philosophies and actions? It will probably come down to the We, the People working on our Senators to ensure that 2/3 of the Senate does not vote for approval of this “treaty” (world government).

WORLD GOVERNMENT AND CLIMATE CONTROL? PART ONE

In December, 2009, at Copenhagen, Denmark, the latest markup of the United Nations Climate Control Treaty will be deliberated by world leaders, with a potential for resolution of any conflicting ideals and approval by the leaders of the various nations of the world (developed and underdeveloped), including President Obama. China and India will probably not be present and/or not sign into the Treaty; their positions in this matter will be discussed in PART TWO. Recall that any treaty signed by the President MUST be approved by 2/3 of the Senate present (Article II, Section2 of the Constitution of the United States). There has been great concern that this UN “treaty” has the aspirations of forming a one-world government. In order to understand this concern, one must first understand why this “Climate Control Treaty” is of such importance to the UN, along with other influential people, and why the UN has felt that this “Treaty” is justifiable.
This current markup (FCCC/AWGLCA/2009/INF.2) is a result of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change on May 09. 1992. This Convention was followed up by “scientific” studies by the UN’s AWG-LCA (Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-Term Cooperative Action) earlier in Bonn, Germany, Copenhagen, Denmark and has its roots in the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, which occurred on Sept. 16, 1987.
Many claims by this current markup are centered around the assertion by the IPCC’s (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) 4th Assessment Report of 2007 that warming of the environment is a consequence of human activities (with no consideration of nature’s processes which release carbon dioxide and other gases naturally). These “human activities” resulted in an increase of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions. These “increases” are therefore inhibiting the natural release of natural radiation from the earth’s surface thru our atmosphere and into space. Hence, per these claims, a significant amount of natural radiation released is diverted back to the earth’s surface resulting in increases of temperature of the earth’s surface which raises the temperature of the earth’s atmosphere. From a physicist’s point of view, if the amount of natural radioactivity from the earth’s surface was 100% reflected back (as opposed to releasing into space), the amount required to increase the temperature of the earth’ entire atmosphere one degree Farenheit in one year(by this additional heat energy emitted by the earth’s surface due to the 100% reflection) would equate to the amount of heat energy created by the equivalent of over 100 “Hiroshima” atomic bombs, strategically placed around the world, ignited at one time, and repetitively ignited once a week for four weeks.
Throughout all of these previously mentioned studies, all conclusions have been derived based on postulated evidence as opposed to actual scientific data. Some of the “conclusions” include:
1. Claims that our environment has warmed up “significantly” because of human activities since 1750, without any reference to actual scientific (data-based) studies. Besides, does anybody believe that accurate environmental studies were performed on temperature change trends in the 18th and 19th centuries?
2. Claims that the temperature of the world environment has increased by a rate of almost 0.5*F per year since 1990; however, no scientific studies with legitimate measuring models are provided as proof.

3. Claims that this “increase” in temperature to our environment is due to naturally emitting radiation from the earth’s surface which is reflected back by a buildup of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere, thus warming up the earth’s surface, which results in a trending increase of temperature in our atmosphere. Again, no legitimate studies using real-time scientific data to substantiate this claim are directly referenced.

However, scientific studies based on years of actual data collection and use of modern measuring tools (e.g., weather satellite data for atmospheric testing of temperature changes at different elevations) have debunked all of these assumptions. These scientific studies have been performed since the 1970’s by the Hanley Center of Forecasting (in England) and the National Climate Data Center’s studies in the U.S. (as examples). Scientific models, such as the Clausius-Calpeyron relation (which is basically the relation of change of heat and it’s effects to the change of volume (rise in temperature results in rise in water vapor volume, which would cause an increase in atmospheric pressure, resulting in increases of atmospheric temperature; based on the laws of entropy).

So the question becomes :
If climate change is insignificant as proven scientifically thru the use of real-time data, why the world-wide (United Nations, Al Gore, etc.) concerns over the need of a treaty for controlling climate change? And if this treaty is signed by President and approved by 2/3 of the U.S. Senate, why should American citizens by concerned?

OBJECTIONS FOR MILITARY PAY INCREASE

This is an Airman's response to Cindy Williams' editorial piece in the Washington Times about MILITARY PAY. It should be printed in all newspapers across America.

Ms. Cindy William wrote a piece for the Washington Times denouncing the pay raise(s) coming service members' way this year citing that she stated a 13% wage increase was more than they deserve.

A young airman from Hill AFB responds to her article. He ought to get a bonus for this:

"Ms Williams:
I just had the pleasure of reading your column, "Our GI's earn enough" and I am a bit confused. Frankly, I'm wondering where this vaunted overpayment is going, because as far as I can tell, it disappears every month between DFAS (The Defense Finance and Accounting Service) and my bank account. Checking my latest earnings statement I see that I make $1,117.80 before taxes per month. After taxes, I take home $874.20. When I run that through the calculator, I come up with an annual salary of $13,413.60 before taxes, and $10,490.40 after.

I work in the Air Force Network Control Center where I am part of the team responsible for a 5,000 host computer network. I am involved with infrastructure segments, specifically with Cisco Systems equipment. A quick check under jobs for "Network Technicians" in the Washington, D.C. area reveals a position in my career field, requiring three years experience in my job. Amazingly, this job does NOT pay $13,413.60 a year. No, this job is being offered at $70,000 to $80,000 per annum............ I'm sure you can draw the obvious conclusions.

Given the tenor of your column, I would assume that you NEVER had the pleasure of serving your country in her armed forces.
Before you take it upon yourself to once more castigate congressional and DOD leadership for attempting to get the families in the military's lowest pay brackets off of WIC and food stamps, I suggest that you join a group of deploying soldiers headed for AFGHANISTAN; I leave the choice of service branch up to you. Whatever choice you make though, opt for the SIX month rotation: it will guarantee you the longest possible time away from your family and friends, thus giving you full "deployment experience."

As your group prepares to board the plane, make sure to note the spouses and children who are saying good-bye to their loved ones. Also take care to note that several families are still unsure of how they'll be able to make ends meet while the primary breadwinner is gone. Obviously they've been squandering the "vast" piles of cash the government has been giving them.

Try to deploy over a major holiday; Christmas and Thanksgiving are perennial favorites. And when you're actually over there, sitting in a foxhole, shivering against the cold desert night, and the flight sergeant tells you that there aren't enough people on shift to relieve you for chow, remember this: trade whatever MRE's
(meal-ready-to-eat) you manage to get for the tuna noodle casserole or cheese tortellini, and add Tabasco to everything. This gives some flavor.

Talk to your loved ones as often as you are permitted; it won't be nearly long enough or often enough, but take what you can get and be thankful for it. You may have picked up on the fact that I disagree with most of the points you present in your open piece.

But, tomorrow from KABUL,I will defend to the death your right to say it.

You see, I am an American fighting man, a guarantor of your First Amendment right and every other right you cherish...On a daily basis, my brother and sister soldiers worldwide ensure that you and people like you can thumb your collective noses at us, all on a salary that is nothing short of pitiful and under conditions that would make most people cringe. We hemorrhage our best and brightest into the private sector because we can't offer the stability and pay of civilian companies.

The Commander In Chief??

Per Article II of the U.S. Constitution, the President is granted the position of commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the United States, and the powers inherited by this position. The President commands and directs the military and is responsible for planning military strategy. The President, as the Commander in Chief, heads the military chain of command within the Department of Defense. The Commander in Chief is kept abreast of all matters affecting the ability of the Department of Defense to defend the United States and its allies.
So, with these responsibilities in mind, when is President Obama going to exercise his duties regarding the war against terrorism in Afghanistan? General Stanley A. McChrystal stated in his 66 page document assessing the situation in Afghanistan that ""Failure to gain the initiative and reverse insurgent momentum in the near-term (next 12 months) -- while Afghan security capacity matures -- risks an outcome where defeating the insurgency is no longer possible." (Washington Post, 9/21/09). Per the same source after reviewing the assessment, General McChrystal warns that without more forces and the rapid implementation of a genuine counterinsurgency strategy, defeat is likely. McChrystal describes an Afghan government riddled with corruption and an international force undermined by tactics that alienate civilians. The counterinsurgency strategy was clearly outlined in his assessment and has been endorsed by General David Petraeus (UPI, 9/24/09), Commander of U.S. Central Command. General McChrystal, the top U.S. and NATO commander in Afghanistan sent his assessment to Defense Secretary Robert Gates on August 30, 2009 and it is still being reviewed by the Obama administration in conferences with President Obama's national security advisors. This staff consists of Vice-President Joe Biden, National Security Advisor General Jim Jones (USMC, Ret.), Secretary of Defense Robert Gates ( a strong supporter of Petraeus' troop surge in Iraq but now hesitant to support General McChrystal), Secretary of Treasury Tim Geither, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen (who stated in a Senate hearing that more US troops as well as a rapid increase in the size and capability of the Afghan army were needed to carry out the President’s own strategy for prevailing in Afghanistan [Times Online, 9/16/09]. This council in turn is supported by civilian advisors, many of whom have no or little experience in foreigh policy (check out his support staff from the whitehouse.gov website; not too impressive). Now it has been revealed in an interview on CBS this weekend, the U.S. and NATO commander in Afghanistan has only been in conversation with the President once, via video conference.
So, what's my point? The President has not maintained a one-on-one relationship with his commander in Afghanistan to stay abreast of the conditions on the scene. Instead, he is basing his foreign policy in Afghanistan on the advice of civilian advisors, a DOD Secretary who is now hesitant to support his commander in the field despite his previous history as an individual with a pragmatic and consistent point of view, the Vice-President and the "Secretary of Treasury?". We have gone full circle: our federal administration is trying to run a war overseas on their own judgements as opposed to listening to the military leaders on the ground who have the needed experience to make sound judgements. This is the same mistake we, as a country, made during the Vietnam conflict and we know how that turned out. At least in this case, we have a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who is supporting his commander(s) on the ground, as opposed to the problems we encountered during the Vietnam debacle (Army Generals Maxwell Taylor and Earle G. Wheeler).
The President has a moral obligation to address General's McChrystal's assessment in a timely manner (he's had it since late August) and make a decision, for the sake of our troops (U.S. and NATO) in Afghanistan. Otherwise, he is not properly exercising his duties as Commander-in-Chief, as granted to him by the Constitution of the United States.

Of all the cares or concerns of government, the direction of war most peculiarly demands those qualities which distinguish the exercise of power by a single hand. The direction of war implies the direction of a common strength; and the power of directing and employing the common strength forms an usual and essential part in the definition of executive authority Alexander Hamilton: Federalist No. 47

The June "Jobs" report issued by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) on July 2 caused shock and dismay. Payrolls declined by 467,000 jobs, more than the 345,000 lost in May, and much more than the 363,000 that economists had predicted. The only reason that the reported unemployment rate rose by only 0.1 percentage points (to 9.5%) in June was that many jobless people became discouraged and stopped looking for work.

As bad as the BLS report was, it should not have come as a surprise. The deteriorating employment situation could have been predicted as early as April 29, when the "Gross Domestic Product: First Quarter 2009 (Advance)" report was issued by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).

The BEA numbers (which were revised slightly on June 25) show an accelerating decline in "real nonresidential fixed investment". This measure decreased 37.3 percent in the first quarter of 2009, compared with a fall of 21.7 percent in the fourth quarter of 2008. Given that employment is a direct, linear function of private business investment (PBI), unemployment can be expected to rise much farther in the months ahead.

Here's why. Because a lot of PBI goes toward offsetting depreciation and increasing productivity, it takes a 5% year-over-year increase in PBI to produce a 1% increase in the number of jobs. Correspondingly, a 5% decrease in PBI will yield a 1% reduction in total employment.

The unemployment rate a year ago was 5.5%. Because the potential labor force is growing, we need employment to increase by 1% annually to keep the unemployment rate from going up. The 37.9% investment decline reported by the BEA can be expected to eventually produce a reduction in total employment of about 8.5%. Accordingly, we can expect unemployment to rise to about 14% within a year unless the downward slide of PBI is reversed.

The current 9.5% unemployment rate is causing great economic pain, and life with a 14% jobless rate would be much, much worse. Unfortunately, almost everything that the government has done or is proposing to do to right the economy is actually counterproductive.

Like the Bush administration before it, the Obama team is pinning its hope for economic recovery on "stimulus". Despite the fact that Bush's $168 billion stimulus package in early 2008 had no impact at all, Obama rammed a $787 billion stimulus bill through Congress in January. Now the administration is waiting anxiously for the "stimulus" to take effect. It should not hold its (collective) breath.

"Stimulus" is based upon the superstition that government borrowing and spending creates "demand". In reality, it does no such thing. "Stimulus" is like trying to raise the level of the Hudson River by dipping out a bucket of water, walking five feet downstream, and pouring it back in. The only difference between the Bush and Obama plans is that Obama's bucket is bigger (and will create more debt). Ironically, the July 2 jobs report prompted calls from leftist economists for Obama to go back to the river with an even bigger bucket.

While doing nothing to boost demand, Obama's "stimulus" will depress PBI, and therefore employment. This is because the "stimulus" plan requires selling an additional $787 billion in government bonds. The money to buy these bonds will have to come from somewhere, and much of it will come from people who would otherwise invest in starting or expanding businesses. Indeed, the bonds will have to be priced so that this risk-free investment is more attractive to investors than their other alternatives.

In the fourth quarter of 2008, the Federal government ran a deficit of $303 billion (and therefore had to sell $303 billion of new bonds) and business investment fell by 21.7%. In the first quarter of 2009, the Federal deficit was $650 billion and business investment fell by 37.3%. The economy is being forced to invest in Barack's Bailout Bonds rather than in businesses that create jobs.

Virtually everything the Obama administration wants to do will have the effect of increasing unemployment. As bad as joblessness is now, be prepared for it to get much, much worse.

TIME TO GET UP AND MAKE SOME REAL CHANGES

It was the end of American standard year 2008, and the war had paused, suddenly and unexpectedly. All around us it was as if the universe was holding its breath....Waiting. All of life can be broken down into moments of transition or moments of revelation......This had a feeling of both!
God writes "There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of Flesh is the death of Hope, the death of Dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us....waiting in moment of transition...to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us...only that it is always paved in pain.

Regrets a few and you?
Oh enough to fill a life time, So much has been lost, so much forgotten. so much pain, so much blood,
And for what I wonder? The past tempts us, the present confuses us, and the future frightens us, and our lives slip away moment by moment, lost in that vast terrible in between. But there is still time to seize that one last fragile moment. To choose something better, to make a difference to save what is worth saving.

Jane Fonda is being honored as one of the
'100 Women of the Century.'

Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still
countless others have never known how Ms.
Fonda betrayed not only the idea of our country,
but specific men who served and sacrificed
during Vietnam

The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot.
The pilot's name is Jerry Driscoll.

In 1968, the former Commandant of the USAF
Survival School was a POW in Ho Lo Prison
the 'Hanoi Hilton.'

Dragged from a stinking cesspit of a cell,
cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean PJ's, he was
ordered to describe for a visiting American
'Peace Activist' the 'lenient and humane
treatment' he'd received.

He spat at Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and was
dragged away.
During the subsequent beating, he fell forward
on to the camp Commandant's feet, which
sent that officer berserk.

In 1978, the Air Force Colonel still suffered from
double vision (which permanently ended his
flying career) from the Commandant's frenzied
application of a wooden baton.

From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the
47FW/DO (F-4E's) He spent 6 years in the
' Hanoi Hilton' ... the first three of which his
family only knew he was 'missing in action'.
His wife lived on faith that he was still alive.
His group, too, got the cleaned-up, fed and
clothed routine in preparation for a
'peace delegation' visit.

They, however, had time and devised a plan to
get word to the world that they were alive
and still survived. Each man secreted a tiny
piece of paper, with his Social Security Number
on it, in the palm of his hand.

When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a
cameraman, she walked the line, shaking each
man's hand and asking little encouraging
snippets like: 'Aren't you sorry you bombed
babies?' and 'Are you grateful for the humane
treatment from your benevolent captors?'
Believing this HAD to be an act, they each
palmed her their sliver of paper.

She took them all without missing a beat. At the
end of the line and once the camera stopped
rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs,
she turned to the officer in charge and handed
him all the little pieces of paper.

Three men died from the subsequent beatings.
Colonel Carrigan was almost number four
but he survived, which is the only reason we
know of her actions that day.

I was a civilian economic development advisor
in Vietnam, and was captured by the North
Vietnamese communists in South Vietnam in
1968, and held prisoner for over 5 years.

I spent 27 months in solitary confinement; one
year in a cage in Cambodia; and one year
in a 'black box' in Hanoi .
My North Vietnamese captors deliberately
poisoned and murdered a female missionary, a
nurse in a leprosarium in Ban Me Thuot, South
Vietnam, whom I buried in the jungle near the
Cambodian border.

At one time, I weighed only about 90 lbs.
(My normal weight is 170 lbs.)

We were Jane Fonda's 'war criminals.'

When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi, I was asked by
the camp communist political officer if I would
be willing to meet with her

I said yes, for I wanted to tell her about the real
treatment we POWs received ... and how
different it was from the treatment purported by
the North Vietnamese, and parroted by her as
'humane and lenient.'

Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky
floor on my knees, with my arms outstretched
with a large steel weights placed on my hands,
and beaten with a bamboo cane.

I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda
soon after I was released. I asked her
if she would be willing to debate me on TV.
She never did answer me.

These first-hand experiences do not exemplify
someone who should be honored as part
of '100 Years of Great Women.'
Lest we forget ... '100 Years of Great Women'
should never include a traitor whose hands are
covered with the blood of so many patriots.

There are few things I have strong visceral
reactions to, but Hanoi Jane's participation in
blatant treason, is one of them.
Please take the time to forward to as many
people as you possibly can.
It will eventually end up on her computer and
she needs to know that we will never forget.

THE STATE SOVEREIGNTY MOVEMENT

The State Sovereignty Movement by Dr. Donald W. Livingston
For the first time in 144 years State interposition (Madison) and State nullification and secession (Jefferson) have entered public discourse as remedies to usurpations by the central government of rights reserved to the people of the sovereign States by the Constitution. Since Americans are not in the habit of exercising these policy options, it is worthwhile to ask just what State legislators and governors can do to protect their citizens from usurpations by the central government. First, they can begin by passing resolutions (as a number have done), declaring in no uncertain terms that all powers not delegated to the central government nor prohibited to the States by the Constitution are reserved by them; and that the States themselves have the authority to judge what is reserved and what is delegated--Supreme Court case law notwithstanding. To deny this is to say that the central government can define the limits of its own power which flatly contradicts the Constitution’s language of State delegated and reserved powers.
Second, the States can insist that an office be set up in Congress to receive and respond to these resolutions. Resolutions are words. They cost little to produce, but words have power. As the Scottish philosopher David Hume observed, political authority is based primarily on opinion not force. It is not merely iron bars that confine you to prison, it is also the guard’s opinion not to let you out. If you could change his mind, the bars could not restrain you. A continuous flood of resolutions from the States about the constitutionality of this or that issue (and widely publicized), would serve to educate the public (and their rulers) about constitutional limits and alter the mind-set of politics in a decentralist direction. Further, State legislators and governors should revive, where appropriate, the Jeffersonian discourse of State interposition, nullification, and secession as policy options. To deny this is to say that an American State is not a genuine political society at all, but a mere aggregate of individuals under control of a central government that alone can define the limits of its powers. To hear such discourse in public speech can strengthen civic virtue and revive the long slumbering disposition of self-government that has been suppressed by a century of runaway centralization. Lincoln understood the power of words, and advanced the cause of centralization by refusing to describe the States as sovereign political societies. He described them as mere counties authorized by central authority. He asked incredulously: “What is this particular sacredness of a State? If a State, in one instance, and a county in another should be equal in extent of territory, and equal in number of people, wherein is that State any better than a county?” Lincoln was not describing the federative America that Jefferson and Madison founded, but an imagined and wished for centralized, unitary American state. It is time that the Lincolnian inversion of political discourse be inverted.
Third, In addition to changing the terms of discourse, State legislators and governors should engage in 10th amendment acts of recovering usurped authority. The least controversial of these acts would be simply to not accept federal money for projects that are judged unconstitutional, such as federal involvement in education. Refuse the money, and begin restoring state and local control over education or whatever the issue might be.
Fourth, in order to restore usurped constitutional authority, a State must be prepared, at some point, to resist federal intrusion. There is a long history of States doing just that. Georgia nullified the Supreme Court’s ruling in Chisholm vs. Georgia (1793); New England States nullified fugitive slave laws; and earlier New England townships nullified Jefferson’s embargo and the war of 1812 declared under Madison’s administration. Jefferson said “he felt the foundations of the government shaken under my feet by the New England townships.” Wisconsin was nullifying what it declared to be usurpations by the Supreme Court into the 1850s. There was a time when the States kept the central government under control.
Can this be done today? Before it is attempted a clarification is necessary. We must understand that any such constitutional challenge is a political one based on the States’ sovereign authority and not a matter justiciable by the courts. Genuine federalism in America can be recovered only by political action in the name of the State’s own authority and not by Supreme Court legalism. Indeed, legalism only affirms that the Court has the final say over what powers the States have. When States interposed to block the Supreme Court’s orders to desegregate public schools in the South on the ground that such orders were unconstitutional, the move failed but only because racial segregation was not a popular issue. Many scholars then and now thought that Brown v. Board of Education was bad constitutional law, i.e., that the court had abandoned its proper role of policing the Constitution in favor of social engineering. Most, however, approved of the engineering, and paid little regard to the constitutional cost.
But the process can be reversed. States can recover usurped authority by carefully choosing the right issue, at the right time, in the right circumstances, and for the right reasons. Such an act, of course, would require considerable political prudence and skill, and should not be attempted without a reasonable chance of support from public opinion. In such an act of lawful and constitutional resistance, the State would be answerable only to her other sister states. The action might spark a constitutional amendment as happened when Georgia nullified the Supreme Court’s ruling in Chisholm v. Georgia (1793) that an individual could sue a state in federal court without the State’s permission. The States agreed with Georgia’s nullification and promptly passed the 11th amendment that prohibited such suits. That is how American federalism was supposed to work. The three branches of the central government would check each other, but it would be up to the sovereign States to keep the central government itself in check. The Constitution was to be enforced through political action of the States not by the legalism of nine unelected Supreme Court justices.
Another outcome might be a political settlement that would allow a State, or a number of States, to opt out of a class of federal acts judged to be unconstitutional or fundamentally repugnant. Other federal systems allow this possibility. For instance, the Canadian Constitution has institutionalized federal nullification. Any Province can nullify acts of the central government in the area of civil rights within its own borders, even though other Provinces may enforce the act in theirs.
The States can also try to restrict unconstitutional acts of the central government through amending the Constitution, but that is virtually impossible. Two thirds of both Houses of Congress are required to pass an amendment which must then be ratified by three quarters of the States. Since 1790, over 10,000 amendments have been proposed to Congress. Only 30 have passed the Congressional gate-keepers, and 27 have been ratified. The other path is that two thirds of the States can compel Congress to call a constitutional convention–a very high bar to meet. It is, therefore, virtually impossible to limit the central government’s power by constitutional amendment. It is worth noting that the framers of the Confederate Constitution sought to overcome this barrier to self-government in Article 1, Section 1 which enacted that if only three States concurred on a constitutional amendment, Congress would have to call a constitutional convention. And only two thirds of the States would be needed to ratify the amendment.
To all of this it is often said that State interposition, nullification, and secession were eliminated as policy options by the Civil War. Brute force, however, cannot settle moral and constitutional questions. Lincoln’s claim that the Union is older than the States; that it created the States; that a State is merely an administrative unit (like a county in a unitary state), are historical and moral claims that must stand on their own. They cannot be settled by superior firepower but only by reasons that persuade. The problems of limiting central power in a federal system of State delegated and reserved powers, which brought forth the doctrines of State interposition, nullification, and secession as remedies, are as topical today as they were when first broached in the 1790s.
Or it will be said that, even so, too much water has gone over the dam. Institutions of the central government are so entrenched, so entangled with powerful interests, and this system has gone on for so long that people have lost any sense of civic virtue on the State and local level. It is certainly true that the central government has intruded into nearly every aspect of life, and disentanglement will not occur overnight. But centralization in America is not as intense and debilitating as it was in the former Soviet Union, from which, nevertheless, 15 States recovered civic virtue and seceded. Moreover, the current State sovereignty movement suggests that State and local civic virtue are not dead in America. But as mentioned above, a shift in the decentralist direction will require a long course of political re-education. And the sort of education required is not academic but practical–one exemplified in the conduct and civic virtue of State legislators and governors who take to heart Madison’s admonition in the Virginia Resolutions (1798) that State governments not only have the constitutional right of “interposition” to protect their citizens against usurpations by the central government but the “duty” to do so.
Finally, there is the objection that the primacy of State political action over Supreme Court legalism could work when there were fewer States, but now that there are 50 States interposition and nullification have become impractical. But If true that means the Union has simply grown too large for the purposes of self-government; in which case the obvious response is that it should be divided through secession into smaller political units that make self-government viable. Consider how dull our notion of self-government has become. Congress has capped the number of representatives in the House at 435, a majority of which is only 218 representatives. A majority in the Senate is 51. A majority of both Houses is a mere 269 people. This small number, with concurrence of the President, rules over 300 million people. But worse. Congress has long ago alienated much of its legislative responsibility to the Executive and Judicial branch. Its main interest is in distributing its vast revenue (which now is nearly 3 trillion dollars) to its clients. The President and the Supreme Court are the dominant rulers. The Executive office makes war, and its bureaucracy makes laws. The Supreme Court, with only 9 unelected judges, has become the most important social policy making body in the Union, and makes claim to be the final authority on interpreting the Constitution. Never in history have so many been ruled by so few.
As the American empire grows in population and as the ratchet of centralization tightens with each turn, talk of self-government becomes increasingly meaningless. The ratio of representatives to population in the House of Representatives today is one representative for every 690,000 people–a vacuous ratio for representation. When the population reaches 435 million, there will be one “representative” for every million persons. What to do? Expand the size of the House? No; it is about the right size for a legislative body. The only remedy is territorial division of the Union through secession into a number of different and independent political units. Such a division can spring only from political action by the States, each acting in its sovereign capacity. And what form the new order might take (whether a number of federal unions, a number of independent states, whether these will be large or small states like Singapore, etc.) can only be determined by political action of the States themselves.
The central government of the United States (that is, 9 unelected judges, a congressional majority of only 269, and 1 CEO) cannot manage the bloated and unwieldy empire that a century of ritualistic centralization has produced; nor will it ever relinquish power. George Kennan thought that a discourse on how to divide the Union was bound to develop out of pressure generated by the sheer oversized character of the regime. It is too early to say that the current State sovereignty movement is the beginning of that discourse, but it might well be the beginning of the beginning.

I received this thru Facebook yesterday. The names and email addresses have been removed to protect the senders’ privacy. This email originated with a woman who was at the “townhall” meeting with Obama in Montana. Another example of the non-reporting by the media. This was sent to Glenn Beck’s Constitutional Watchdogs by another individual from Montana. This is an issue that everyone needs to be aware of. Though this discussion may not directly reflect the Education, Unification and Election philosophy (of which I am a strong believer in), it is something that has been confirmed and can be used in the Education process to show how the First Amendment right to peacful assembly was subterfuged by the current president's team. This is an excellent example of how peaceful assembly to redress ones' grievances can be subterfuged when desired by someone of higher authority. This can then be used to educate the people on keeping them aware of such subterfuge and discuss how to peacefully work around it in preparation.
NEWS FROM MONTANA
“Things are not always what they seem”
Hello All. By now you have probably heard that President Obama came to Montana last Friday. However, there are many things that the major news has not covered. I feel that since Joe and I live here and we were at the airport on Friday I should share some facts with you. Whatever you decide to do with the information is up to you. If you chose to share this email with others I do ask that you DELETE my email address before you forward this on.On Wednesday, August 5th it was announced locally that the President would be coming here. There are many groups here that are against his healthcare and huge spending so those groups began talking and deciding on what they were going to do.. The White House would not release ANY details other than the date.On about Tuesday Joe found out that they would be holding the “Town Hall” at the airport. (This is only because Joe knows EVERYONE at the airport) Our airport is actually located outside of Belgrade (tiny town) in a very remote location. Nothing is around there. They chose to use a hangar that is the most remotely located hangar. You could not pick a more remote location, and you cannot get to it easily. It is totally secluded from the public. FYI: We have many areas in Belgrade and Bozeman which could have held a large amount of folks with sufficient parking. (gymnasiums/auditoriums).. All of which have chairs and tables, and would not have to be SHIPPED IN!! $$$$$During the week, cargo by the TONS was being shipped in constantly. Airport employees could not believe how it just kept coming. Though it was our President coming several expressed how excessive it was, especially during a recession.
Late Tuesday/early Wednesday the 12th, they said that tickets would be handed out on Thursday 9am at two locations and the president would be arriving around 12:30 Friday. Thursday morning about 600 tickets were passed out. However, 1500 were printed at a Local printing shop per White House request. Hmmmm……900 tickets just DISAPPEARED.
This same morning someone called into the radio from the local UPS branch and said that THOUSANDS of Dollars of Lobster were shipped in for Obama. Montana has some of the best beef in the nation!!! And it would have been really wonderful to help out the local economy. Anyone heard of the Recession?? Just think…with all of the traveling the White House is doing. $$$$$ One can only imagine what else we are paying for.On Friday Joe and I got out to the airport about 10:45am. The groups that wanted to protest Obama’s spending and healthcare had gotten a permit to protest and that area was roped off. But that was not to be. A large bus carrying SEIU (Service Employees International Union) members drove up onto the area (illegal)and unloaded right there. It was quite a commotion and there were specifically 2 SEIU men trying to make trouble and start a fight. Police did get involved and arrested the one man but they said they did not have the manpower to remove the SEIU crowd.The SEIU crowd was very organized and young. About 99% were under the age of 30 and they were not locals! They had bullhorns and PROFESSIONALLY made signs. Some even wore preprinted T-shirts. Oh, and Planned Parenthood folks were with them…..professing abortion rights with their T-shirts and preprinted signs. (BTW, all these folks did have a permit to protest in ANOTHER area)Those against healthcare/spending moved away from the SEIU crowd to avoid confrontation. They were orderly and respectful. Even though SEIU kept coming over and walking through, continuing to be very intimidating and aggressive at the direction of the one SEIU man.So we had Montana folks from ALL OVER the state with their homemade signs and their DOGS with homemade signs. We had cowboys, nurses, doctors you name it. There was even a guy from Texas who had been driving through. He found out about the occasion, went to the store, made a sign, and came to protest.If you are wondering about the press…..Well, all of the major networks were over by that remote hangar I mentioned. They were conveniently parked on the other side of the buildings FAR away. None of these crowds were even visible to them. I have my doubts that they knew anything about the crowds. We did have some local news media around us from this state and Idaho.Speaking of the local media…they were invited. However, all questions were to be turned into the White House in advance of the event. Wouldn’t want anyone to have to think off the top of their head.It was very obvious that it was meant to be totally controlled by the White House. Everything was orchestrated down to the last detail to make it appear that Montana is just crazy for Obama and government healthcare. Even those people that talked about their insurance woes……..the White House called our local HRDC (Human Resource and Development Committee) and asked for names. Then the White House asked those folks to come.
Smoke and mirrors…EVERYTHING was staged!!!!!!!!!!! I am very dismayed about what I learned about our current White House. The amount of control and manipulation was unbelievable. I felt I was not living in the United States of America, more like the USSR!! I was physically nauseous. Joe and I have been around when Presidents or Heads of State visit. It has NEVER been like this. I am truly very frightened for our country. America needs your prayers and your voices. If you care about our country please get involved. Know the issues. And let Congress hear your voices again and again!! If they are willing to put forth so much effort to BULLY a small town one can only imagine what is going on in Washington DC. Scary!!

CAUSE AND EFFECT IN THE POLITICAL ARENA

In the ever-changing world of politics, We, the People, are constantly finding ourselves standing up for our God-given rights as provided by the U.S. Constitution. We find ourselves fighting issues created by our governments on all levels which infringe on our personal liberties. And we should always stand up for our rights and work together to correct the wrongs bestowed upon us. From fighting our county commissioners on increasing millage rates, standing up for our states’ sovereign rights (as granted by the Constitution) when our state legislatures are negligent in working for those rights, to standing up to our federal government and judicial system usurping their delegated powers to their own advantage, We, the People are fighting to resolve the “EFFECTS” of movements which have been ongoing in our country for over 100 years. In this situation, I am referring to the Progressive/Socialist movement that has grown in strength over this time period. As citizens of this great country, we have the right to petition our different levels of government and redress our grievances. By organizing and speaking out to address any infringements, we can make a significant difference in changing the “EFFECTS” that we face as a local community and as a nation. The latest grievance that has captured the national spotlight is reform of our national health care system. By bringing our elected officials (on all levels of government) to listen and address our grievances, We, the People can make a difference. However, the difference we make in changing ongoing policies (hopefully successful) only deals with the “EFFECTS” that were “CAUSED” by a larger influence; the Progressive/Socialist movement. This “CAUSE”, inspired by Saul Alinsky, Henry Wallace, and Robert LaFollette (to name a few), has steadily grown in strength and influenced such notable American politicians as Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson and Barack Obama. This CAUSE (the Progressive/Socialist movement) has brought us the 17th Amendment, which contrarily changed the intent of the position of Senator as designed by the Founders, the isolationism movement during the mid 1900’s which kept the USA out of the war activities in Europe until we were attacked in 1941, and Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, which started grassroots political organizing designed to promote that the most effective means are whatever will achieve the desired ends. Rules for Radicals promotes that any revolutionary change within society must be preceded by non-challenging attitudes toward change among the mass of our people, resulting in disillusion by the middle class leading to a radical movement that is focused on democracy (not a republic) because of its relative ease to work within to achieve other ends of social justice, as determined by the radicals of the Progressive movement. This “CAUSE” has effectively changed our very society, from our methods of educating our youth, promoting civil liberties to illegal immigrants, and changing the method of how stockholders vote in public corporations in the name of social justice, to name a few.Now we come to a decision as to how to restore our republic from the Progressive/Socialist views back to the intent of the U.S. Constitution. By the very rights granted by the Constitution, We, the People should continue to redress our grievances to our elected officials and peacefully work towards restoring our rights and making our elected officials aware that We, the People are watching them. Again, however, I submit that we are only dealing with the “EFFECTS”, which does not address how to defeat the “CAUSE”. So our decision must be to deal with both “cause and effect”. Education is our first step in understanding the “CAUSE” and how our republic, as designed by the Founding Fathers, can defeat the “CAUSE”. We must continue to organize on the local level, but we must not forget that education of our Constitution, which includes understanding the philosophies and views that influenced our Founding Fathers, is essential in organizing within our local communities and counties so that we can recognize the effects of the cause and work to replace any discrepancies with “common sense” to restore the republic beliefs. We, the People, must understand and work together towards a “common sense cause” on a local, county, state and national platform. Only thru this unification will We, the People establish a coordinated effort to remove the “CAUSE” of our problems, the Progressive/Socialist movement. With this unification on the local and state levels, We, the People will find honest, virtuous citizens who believe in the same “common sense cause” and support them in order to be electable candidates for our local communities and soon within our states. With this principle practiced across our country, We, the People will then find “common sense cause” candidates who will be viable servants to our country on the federal level. With this “common sense cause”, our local, county, state and federal governments will be infused with servants who follow the principles and values of our local and county charters (making changes as necessary to remove the influence the Progressive “CAUSE”), along with identical servants within our states’ and federal governments who will make the same type of changes to bring our republic back to a “common sense” form of government.By following this logic, We, the People will be successful in stopping the “EFFECTS” we are experiencing, while still focusing on the long-term movement to defeat the “CAUSE” of Progressivism. The long term movement, which must be pursued to it’s end in order to eliminate the “EFFECTS” we are constantly fighting, depends on three principles alluded to: Education of our American patriots, unification of the same principles and values across our local, state and national pictures, and elections of honest, virtuous citizens who share the same principles and values reflected by our U.S. Constitution are the keys to defeating the “CAUSE”, the Progressive/Socialist movement.

Layman's interpretation of HR 3200

Along with my blogspot, I'll also posting these interpretations of the first 498 pages of HR 3200 on other websites for discussion. In addition, I also sent these comments to flag@whitehouse.gov about a week and a half ago, in response to the call from the White House to report any "fishy" statements made about the ongoing health care reform movement. Well, he asked for it and he got it. Read at your pleasure and note the final paragraph.

“FISHY” ANALYSES ABOUT HR 3200

The following are "fishy comments" found on the Internet (review of HR 3200 word by word):

1. Page 280, Sec 1151: The Government will determine what are “preventable re-admissions” and penalize the medical facility/doctor as it deems appropriate
2. Page 298, Lines 9-11: Doctors treat a patient during initial admission that results in a readmission; the Government will reduce payment to the doctor in this situation.
3. Page 317, Lines 13-20: PROHIBITION on ownership/investment. Government tells Doctors what and how much they can own/invest in medical facilities.
4. Pages 317-318, Lines 21-25,1-3: PROHIBITION on expansion- Government is mandating that hospitals/medical facilities cannot expand.
5. Pages 321, Lines 2-13: Hospitals have opportunity to apply for exception from the prohibition of expanding their medical facility BUT community input required.
6. Page 335, Lines 16-25, Pg 336-339: Government mandates establishment of outcome based measures, including grading of Healthcare and needs for “rationing”.
7. Pages 341, Lines 3-9: Government will grade Medicare Advantage plans and has authority to disqualify Medicare Adv Plans, HMOs, etc. This would force people into the new Government plan.
8. Page 354, Sec 1177: Government will RESTRICT enrollment of Special needs people by analyzing circumstances and the Secretary of CMMS submitting a report detailing analyses and recommending type of treatment as the Secretary deems appropriate.
9. Page 379, Sec 1191: Government creates more bureaucracy - “Telehealth Advisory Committee.”
10. Page 425, Lines 4-12: Government mandates “Advanced Care Planning Consultations.”
11. Page 425, Line 18: Government will require EVERYONE who is on Social Security to undergo a counseling session.
12. Page 425, Lines 17-19: Government will instruct & consult regarding living wills, durable powers of attorney.
13. Page 425, Lines 22-25, Page 426. Lines 1-3: Government provides approved list of “end of life” resources, guiding you in death.
14. Page 427, Lines 15-24: Government mandates program for orders for “end of life”. The Government has a say in how your life ends.
15. Page 429, Lines 1-9: An “advanced care planning consult” will be used frequently as patients health deteriorates.
16. PG 429, Lines 10-12: “Advanced care consultation” may include an ORDER for “end of life” plans. (AN ORDER from the Government?)
17. Page 429, Lines 13-25: The Government will specify which Doctors can write an “end of life” order.
18. Page 430, Lines 11-15: The Secretary for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services will decide what level of treatment you will have at end of life?
19. Page 472 Lines 14-17: PAYMENT TO COMMUNITY-BASED ORG. 1 monthly payment to a community-based org. (MAYBE ACORN?). The most disturbing part of this section is where the Secretary for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services determines who qualifies as a Community Based Medical Home (as opposed to the state and local levels of government who are currently making those decisions).
20. Pages 494-498: The Secretary for the Center of Medicare and Medicaid Services will cover Mental Health Services including defining, creating, rationing and how much to pay for those services.

And I still have almost 2/3 of HR3200 to review and analyze. So far, this is
government control over health care decisions. Just how stupid does the House
of Representatives and/or President Obama think we are? President Obama, I pray
that you have not read this proposal and are just not aware of the outrageous
controls that would be implemented. Government control of the Health Care
Process is not the answer to health care reform (which is needed, but not this
way). Try tort reform and forcing the respective House and Senate committees to
do their job of oversight and calling forth those health care insurers and
disreputable health care providers to appear in committee hearings and explain
their actions (as examples). This is the lawful way that was approved by Constitutional means
(you do remember what Constitutional means is referring to; you swore to uphold
the Constitution of the United States; now please live up to your promise).
My next set of "fishy statements" will be in regards to DIVISION C—PUBLIC HEALTH AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT of HR 3200 and where the appropriations are to be dedicated to on a year-by-year basis (from fiscal year 2010 @ 4.6 trillion dollars up to fiscal year 2019 @ 12.7 trillion dollars). The Federal Reserve is now printing money that has negligible financial backing; and Congress expects us to be able to have an increasing amount of appropriations (for public health and workforce development) available as each year increases to 2019??!! Please, let’s get serious.

VIOLATION OF THE TENTH AMENDMENT

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

No where within the Constitution is the executive branch allowed to grant bailouts to private industries; bailouts which comes with restrictive provisions to restrict pay, raises, etc. to the corporate executives; which controls who runs the corporation/industry. The initial argument to this statement would be that Congress granted the bailouts in the 110th Congress, which is true to the tune of 700 billion dollars. This would arguably be allowed by the 10th Amendment by the people allowing this action via their representation in the legislative branch. However, the Treasury then turned around issuing extra securities to borrow money from the economy, then loaning the money to the Federal Reserve in special deposits so that the Federal Reserve readdresses these funds to make bailout purchases of many types of securities. This changed the total bailout from the $700 billion that Congress appropriated for the auto business in 2008 to $1.2 trillion. This doesn’t even include the Federal Reserve mid-October of 2008 promise of $540 billion to bail out money market funds, which the Federal Reserve could not cover by the sale of other assets. With the current administration’s bailout processes for mortgage, bank/credit and automotive corporations/industries, this has resulted in additional monetary increases and more Treasury borrowing. Now we have a massive bailout financed both by Treasury borrowing (in order to avoid inflation) and a Federal Reserve increase of the monetary base (which promotes future inflation anyway). All of the current administration’s bailout “aid” has resulted in a budget deficit in January, 2009 of 455 billion dollars to 12.104 trillion dollars today and growing thru interest alone. All because the executive branch, beginning in 2008 and ongoing today, has usurped the powers granted to the legislative branch only (to borrow money on the credit of the United States, to coin Money, regulate the value thereof, etc.) in the name of their Progressive/Socialist movement designed for the future of our republic. And all because our legislative branch did not hold the executive branch accountable for their usurpation of the powers granted by our Constitution. There have been too many events in our country’s history since the early 1900’s where our U.S. Constitution has been violated by the executive branch in the name of the slowly evolving Progressive movement where We, the People have not held our government accountable. We, the People MUST take all peaceful actions granted to us by the U.S. Constitution to preserve our republic and hold the three branches of government (on all levels from local to federal) accountable to their actions or inactions. Otherwise, we will have a government structure and function which does not represent the republic granted to us by the U.S. Constitution and by the Laws of Nature (God’s Law).

NOW IS THE TIME TO REDISTRIBUTE THE U.S. CONSTITUTION (Senate/House of Reps. style)

Now is the time for all good Representatives and Senators to ensure that they have enough copies of the U.S. Constitution so that they (and their staff) know what fundamental basis they are working for.

Apparently, the members of both houses in Congress are more patriotic these days and they want to ensure that their staff and their constituents are as well. At least that’s the way Senate Concurrence Resolution 35 (which was created in concurrence with the House of Representatives) wants every watchdog following the actions of Congress to believe. Following is the corroborative text to this Resolution:

In addition to the usual number, there shall be printed the lesser of—
(1) 551,000 copies of the document, of which 441,000 copies shall be for
the use of the House of Representatives, 100,000 copies shall be for
the use of the Senate, and 10,000 copies shall be for the use of the
Joint Committee on Printing; or
(2) such number of copies of the document as does not exceed a total
production and printing cost of $218,379, with distribution to be
allocated in the same proportion as described in paragraph (1),
except that in no case shall the number of copies be less than 1 per Member of Congress.

Passed the Senate July 24, 2009.

I don’t want to bust their “bubble”, but the National Center for Constitutional Studies (www.nccs.net) and the Heritage Foundation (www.heritage.org) have been selling pocket copies of the U.S. Constitution, which also includes the Declaration of Independence, at bulk prices which are less than what you see in this resolution. I’m sure that they would be willing to sell this mass order to the Congressional Members at an even better deal. Enough levity; now for the real questions we should ask:
1. Why this recent interest in carrying pocket copies of the Constitution so that We, the People know that they care about the rules and laws as derived from the Constitution (or at least they should be)?! Particularly, why now?
2. What benefit does the Senate and the House gain by passing this resolution? History has repeatedly shown that key members of both houses don’t sponsor bills unless they “profit” in some way.

Well, I believe the “proof is in the pudding”. This S. Con. Res. 35 was sponsored by Charles Shumer (NY), referred to the House Administration Committee, passed the committee vote, referred to the Senate and passed the Senate vote by Unanimous Consent on July 24, 2009. All of this in just one day. Now this Resolution has been referred to the House for vote. However, keep in mind that debate may be taking place on a companion resolution in the House, rather than on this particular resolution. Now how could We, the People be against any bill being processed thru the House that also contains this patriotic gesture? It’s simple; keep up with S. Con. Res. 35 (try tracking with www.govtrack.us ) and see which legislation this is attached to. The top “dogs” of both houses will use this “patriotic gesture” to appease some voting members in order to get a very expensive legislative matter passed on Capitol Hill (maybe the Health Care Reform Act of 2009??). You heard it here first. But, what do I know; I’m just an American Patriot.

Did you read the Washington Post, April 25, 2009 article by Porter Goss? Following are excerpts from this article which prompted Nancy Pelosi to claim that she was never briefed by the CIA of the “enhanced interrogation techniques” used, including waterboarding, during a House Intelligence Committee hearing in the fall of 2002:“Since leaving my post as CIA director almost three years ago, I have remained largely silent on the public stage. I am speaking out now because I feel our government has crossed the red line between properly protecting our national security and trying to gain partisan political advantage. We can't have a secret intelligence service if we keep giving away all the secrets. Americans have to decide now. A disturbing epidemic of amnesia seems to be plaguing my former colleagues on Capitol Hill. After the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, members of the committees charged with overseeing our nation's intelligence services had no higher priority than stopping al-Qaeda. In the fall of 2002, while I was chairman of the House intelligence committee, senior members of Congress were briefed on the CIA's "High Value Terrorist Program," including the development of "enhanced interrogation techniques" and what those techniques were. This was not a one-time briefing but an ongoing subject with lots of back and forth between those members and the briefers. Today, I am slack-jawed to read that members claim to have not understood that the techniques on which they were briefed were to actually be employed; or that specific techniques such as "waterboarding" were never mentioned….Let me be clear. It is my recollection that:-- The chairs and the ranking minority members of the House and Senate intelligence committees, known as the Gang of Four, were briefed that the CIA was holding and interrogating high-value terrorists.-- We understood what the CIA was doing.-- We gave the CIA our bipartisan support.-- We gave the CIA funding to carry out its activities.-- On a bipartisan basis, we asked if the CIA needed more support from Congress to carry out its mission against al-Qaeda.I do not recall a single objection from my colleagues. They did not vote to stop authorizing CIA funding. And for those who now reveal filed "memorandums for the record" suggesting concern, real concern should have been expressed immediately -- to the committee chairs, the briefers, the House speaker or minority leader, the CIA director or the president's national security adviser -- and not quietly filed away in case the day came when the political winds shifted. And shifted they have. “Recall, Porter Goss was director of the CIA from September 2004 to May 2006 and was chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence from 1997 to 2004. Nancy Pelosi was the ranking Democratic of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence during 2002 and has been confirmed as being physically in attendance during the briefings. So, either she was sleeping during the briefings, has brief memory lapses (apparently at the most opportune times) or is simply lying. The facts point to the latter. Pelosi’s credibility (or what little she might have had to most American’s eyes) is eroding away as the minutes march by. If Obama really thinks that the House will effectively be able to pass his desired legislation, he must consider pushing Pelosi into relinquishing her role as Speaker of the House. Personally, I would rather see Pelosi simply disappear from the Washington “world of politics”. Perhaps the other untrustworthy delegates in the House (like Franks and Murtha, for examples) might get the message that “there, by the grace of God, go I” and work on reforming their own principles and values. It’s obvious that so many members in both houses of Congress, from both parties, have no idea of the values and principles followed by our Framers of the Constitution during their successful effort of creating the U.S. Constitution.

Term Limits and Supreme Court case vs Thornton decision

The XVII Amendment strictly defines the composition of Senators from each state and the method to be used by the applicable state to replace it's Senator if a vacancy appears. Nothing within this Amendment remotely refers to or is inherit to term limits of Senators. Article I of the U.S. Constitution defined a method for the state to replace Representatives; hence, the 17th Amendment was invoked to provide a means to replace the Senator, when applicable. Again, for Article 1, no obvious or implied references to term limits are contained within the Article. In U.S. Term Limits vs. Thornton, Judge Stevens argument was invalid because he invoked the definition that restricting term limits within the states was a violation of people's rights for selecting their representatives as granted by Article I. However, he failed to see that when a state puts up a state Amendment for voting to limit terms of the elected representatives of the state to the U.S. Congress, for either house, the result of the voting for that state Amendment was a declaration by the people of that state to the majority of their wishes, which was granted within the wording of the Constitution. The Constitution mandates to the federal government those powers which involves the whole people as a nation. As James Madison wrote in "The Federalist Papers", [paraphrase] the poweres delegated to the federal government are few and and defined. The powers delegated to the States are numerous and indefinite. The powers delegated to the federal government are principally on external matters, such as war, peace and foreign commerce. The powers reserved to the states are those which directly or indirectly affect the lives, liberties and properties of the people and the order, improvement and prosperity of the state. Hence, the wishes of the majority of any state's population as it affects the order, improvement and prosperity of that state and does not affect the definition of the powers of the federal government are not unconstitutional when those wishes are voted in as a majority of the state's populace, which reflects the people's wishes within that state. This closely relates to the dissenting argument by judge Thomas. "U.S. Term Limits vs. Thornton" clearly violates states' rights as granted by the Constitution and needs to be readdressed again.

In my correspondence thru Congress.org, I included this and informed Saxby that I and some fellow Georgian contemporaries whom I have talked/chatted with are fed up with being unable to raise any type of reasonable response from our elected officials in Washington. Even though I don't agree with all of his actions and votes in the House, John Barrow has been very responsive and even agreed with me on some issues and acted on one particular issue as I had recommended (I'm sure he was getting other correspondence to the same effect as what I was requesting). My point to Saxby Chambliss was that we, as Georgians, were becoming (or were already) fed up with the inability to access our elected officials. If this was going to be continued, then we would be handing out pink slips in their next elections. My message to all U.S. citizens is to continue to try to reach your elected representatives in government. If they cannot respond in a reasonable fashion (anything but the same automated response), then it's time to replace them in their next respective elections.

FastTracking on the "American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009

I sent the following to several members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee regarding Rep. Waxman's desire to push this legislation, which is still in draft form without a HR #, through the Committee by end-of-day Thursday (5/21/09):FIRST, this is NOT a politically-generated argument against the so-called “carbon tax” bill. Rather, I will try to convince you to review this legislation very cautiously with scientific and economical proposals.It is imperative that the House Energy and Commerce Committee carefully deliberate on the proposed 648 page “American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009”. Since plans by Rep. Waxman is to push this through your committee by end of day tomorrow (Thursday), no one can justify how they gave this important legislation careful review in just one day. The subcommittee members have been working on this legislation proposal for several days, but the remaining Committee members must insist on reviewing this proposal in an efficient and careful manner. I will address 2 points regarding this proposal. First, you must be careful if you think that a “smart grid” will work efficiently. Having over 20 years experience working in a nuclear power plant, I can attest through experience and observation that synchronizing the energy output from an electrical-producing facility with the electrical grid takes crucial coordination, and this is using the output from a consistently supplying source. Locking into the grid by only one-tenth of a second early or late can cause serious problems with the grid-coordinating facility accepting the output and also causes generator problems with the electrical-producing facility. Now imagine trying to accurately tie into the electrical grid with an inconsistent source, such as from wind generation and solar energy generation. Changes in atmospheric conditions such as wind speed deviations or temporary loss of consistent generation due to adverse weather conditions would be detrimental to synchronizing into the electrical grid. If changes in atmospheric conditions occurred during the period of synchronizing with the electrical grid, this could result in brownouts within small communities (which will probably be your main “client” of electricity from wind or solar generating facilities) and probable generator problems at the source of electrical output. This is very costly on a large scale and would be costly even on a smaller scale when discussing wind or solar generation. I’ll close on this point by pointing out that this proposal is for 2 megawatt-electric facilities; this is on the scale with typical nuclear power plant electrical outputs ranging from 1400 to over 1800 megawatt-electric (keep this in mind when deliberating on wind and solar generation and my discussion regarding synchronizing with electrical grids). Now for my second point: When presented with findings from an OMB –released document (Deliberative-Attorney Client Privilege) at a Senate hearing on 5/12/09, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson was unable to justify that EPA-sponsored studies performed several years ago were based on “scientific” findings as related to greenhouse gas emissions (CO2) affects on public health or global warming studies. The OMB document also pointed out the recommendations of the EPA-sponsored studies would create adverse economic impacts to small communities and small businesses. The memo also states “In the absence of a strong statement of the standards being applied in this decision, there is concern that EPA is making a finding based on…’harm’ from substances that have no demonstrated direct health effects,” the memo says, adding that the “scientific data that purports to conclusively establish” that link was from outside EPA. Again, I implore that you insist on spending the proper amount of time needed to review this 648-page legislation so that careful and deliberate researching and debate can be achieved. There is not an emergent need for this to fast-track thru your committee. We have the time to make our decisions based on logical and informed conclusions.Thank you for your consideration,William P. By firing the Inspector General last week, the Obama administration has openly violated the Inspector General Reform Act of 2008, which was signed into law on 10/14/08. Following is the particular section of this law that has placed the Obama administration in open violation of the law of our country:HR 928, 110TH CONGRESS(SIGNED AS LAW ON 10/14/2008)SEC. 3. REMOVAL OF INSPECTORS GENERAL.(a) ESTABLISHMENTS.—Section 3(b) of the Inspector General Act of 1978 (5 U.S.C. App.) is amended by striking the second sentence and inserting ‘‘If an Inspector General is removed from office or is transferred to another position or location within an establishment, the President shall communicate in writing the reasons for any such removal or transfer to both Houses of Congress, not later than 30 days before the removal or transfer. Nothing in this subsection shall prohibit a personnel action otherwise authorized by law, other than transfer or removal.’’.(b) DESIGNATED FEDERAL ENTITIES.—Section 8G(e) of the Inspector General Act of 1978(5 U.S.C. App.) is amended by striking ‘‘shall promptly communicate in writing the reasons for any such removal or transfer to both Houses of the Congress.’’ and inserting ‘‘shall communicate in writing the reasons for any such removal or transfer to both Houses of Congress, not later than 30 days before the removal or transfer. Nothing in this subsection shall prohibit a personnel action otherwise authorized by law, other than transfer or removal.’’.Although some news agencies have reported on the firing of the Inspector General, they have failed to site the actual law that was openly violated, even Fox News, Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly. Apparently, the news media is hesitant to let We, the People know that an actual law has been violated by the executive branch. How long will we allow this usurping of the laws of our nation and of our U.S. Constitution to continue? When will the news media accurately report how the Constitution was violated by the creation of "czars", who can establish policy without being liable to being called before any House or Senate committee? It's time for We, the people to demand justification from our government and accurate reporting from our news media.
